Callaway didn't win it. The person swinging the club won it.
LMAO, Well Played Bro!!

Yep last time I looked, it was the Indian, lol.

There are probably at east 6-8 drivers that could have been in his hands, it just so happens that Cally gave him the sweetest pot.

Nice thread though BP!!

Have a nice day Gals & Gents :)

Golfingly Yours,
Richard

When Phil wins, it's a win for Callaway. If Tiger or Rory wins it's a win for Nike. So in this case it's a win for Callaway.
And Stevie won 13 Majors, lol

I hope that You had a nice season Driver :)

My Best,
Richard

Weren't they all using x2hot drivers? I haven't watched the long drive competition for a few years, but I assumed that the format had changed and they were now all required to use x2hot drivers because Callaway was the sponsor.

I saw a few Krank users.

I was pulling for the local guy 'Hangman.' I met him at a local charity tournament a couple months ago. He hit a a drive for us about 380 into a pretty stiff wind, but noticed a lot of curve on the ball (left to right). Amazing to see how many of these long drive guys hit a power fade.
I think it's the additional hip rotation that makes it worth playing the curve. I'm not sold on doing that in regular golf, but the biomechanics for LD are pretty solid. Amazing what a human being can do, isn't it?

14 Pings. Blueprints are incredibly good. Fetch is the most underrated putter on the market. Don't @ me.

I guessed I am missing something here. I never saw anyone wearing the NAME STEVIE as an endorsement on their shirt, cap, visor or golf bag. You seem hung up on Callaway winning this event.

Callaway was being hit by Smith, Flagg, Miller, Sadlowski, and Hanger. Beckman was hitting Krank. Crittenden was hitting MOI. Powers was hitting Mutant.

I would have said the same thing if someone posted that Mizuno or TMaG won the event.

Last time I looked, the name on the trophy was that of the Indian, not the arrow

.As a brand, Cally is excellent, as witnessed by the fact that I still have the Steelhead 3+ in my bag twelve years later.

That's not the point.

I apologize for not making myself understood...

Have a nice autumn :)

Are there any Adams, or did they go by the wayside when Jamie left em?

Thanks a lot :)

Oh my God, are you guys seriously all arguing that the type of driver makes no difference and you don't care? Why are you reading golf equipment forums, then? Just go buy whatever-- it doesn't matter what you use, right? It seems like a really really really strange place to argue *here* that you don't care what equipment somebody was using because it doesn't matter.

maybe we like to post in the tour talk and general golf talk forums. But also chime in to the equipment forums here and there just to be a counterpoint to the people who believe that every year new drivers will give you 25 extra yards

Yea, I figured that with Adams being swallowed up that unless the guy was not in someone's camp, there wasn't much chance of Adams being on the tee though I've still got the 9015LD & this 32LD in the rotation.

Thank you for the response!

Have a great autumn

It will be super Interesting to see if Callaway turns the 815 Alpha into their LD club next year! ...especially since LD clubs usually don't have too many moving parts (weights, sliders, Gravity Cores, etc...) because they tend to break with 140+ mph of clubhead speed! Since they're doing away with the X Hot line, the only other option would be the super light, high-spin V Series driver which I highly doubt they'd use!!! ???
