Back to the sound of the Triton for a second...you say hollow trash can. We talking L4V trash can? That thing sounded AWFUL but with the results I got from it, I didn't care what it sounded like. I doubt the Triton will even get a shot, just curious as to how bad the thing really sounds.

Nike Sumo? Although I do remember hitting the L4V in a semi-closed hitting bay and literally blacking out for a second because the sound popped my ears. ?

haha not Sumo loud but close. L4V was the loudest driver on the planet and a member at my course still plays one. Refuses to give it up.

Picked up a Fusion a few weeks ago and just picked up a M2. I guess I wanna be like j13 without the game!!!

Haha don't settle for my game. How did you like the Fusion? Honestly i thought it was a great stick just way too draw bias for me. I couldn't hit a fade to save my life with it.

Two rounds with the Fusion in 40*F weather isn't a fair comparison. I like the look/feel and I plan to hang on to it at least until spring. I've got the XR with Speeder so I'll hang on to it to try the shaft in the Fusion head. I hit some bombs (for me) with the XR and found it forgiving enough that I moved the PING g30 and kept the XR. If the Fusion is more forgiving with slightly less spin than the XR, it will be a winner.

 

The M2 (BST impulse buy) may not get hit until spring given the winter season.

The Aldila 125 Rogue stock they provide is a cheap piece of junk def not a real 125 I don't care what anyone tries to tell you. I had the real deal etched 125 and it's not even close. Anyway hope everyone had a great thanksgiving!

Triton is a terrible driver IMO. Again I hit the M2 right next to it and my numbers were so much more consistent it wasn't funny. As for the Epic I was suppose to hit it last week when the Cally rep was in the area but I couldn't make it to the shop due to work. Next week I have the opportunity again so hopefully work cooperates.

I hated it as well. I have a 50tx 125 so not apples to apples but it felt different to me too. s*** you not, it's been an awesome driver numbers wise for a ton of people. I should have asked, maybe it's all lower swing speed guys? But the guy I talked to is legit, I bet he would have won the show if he'd applied and gotten picked. He'll be designing the next driver at a major oem as soon as he finishes his masters in physics and golf club design. Best fitter at the shop we did gear trials at.

Physics and club design? That's a double major I'd like to have taken lol. I'm not saying the Triton doesn't work for anyone but for me it's a no go. I'm not kidding when I say numbers compared to the M2 weren't even in the same ballpark. The worst part about the driver was dispersion. Maybe with a different shaft I'd have a different opinion but who's got a Wilson adapter haha ;)

How does the Wilson model compare to the Titleist model?

How does the Wilson model compare to the Titleist model?

 

Titleist is much more controllable. Titleist never seems to be the longest but always have good dispersion for me.

 

As for the Triton it just doesn't work for me but if it works for others then have at it. Hey I gave it a second chance ! As for the shaft the shop I went into told me a customer called Wilson and they told him it wasn't the same rogue as the retail 125. Hitting it I 1000000% agree. Not even close, again anyone who's hit a real deal etched rogue 125 would agree. But hey if the shaft works for you great against just giving out the info as I see it.

Grabbed a new putter on the cheap to play with over the winter. :D Traded in an old putter and got this for $15 as it was discounted to $79 already. Played 9 with it today and was -3. Not too shabby. I like this insert much better then the stanrdard method and always wanted a long slant neck type putter so it's a cheap way for me to find out how this style works for me.

That's what I'm talkin bout. I tried a couple nike putters once. The s1-12 and s2-12 putters are so stable, so smooth. I just didn't agree with the distance control but loved my stroke with those two models.....

Is that a long slant neck? I didn't know they made that model. The Method Matter insert is actually a nice one. Underrated I think.

 

They did it's just not as common as the other models so a little harder to find. It's the B2-05 Method Matter for reference. This insert is their best IMO because the speed is controllable and consistent whereas the Method and polymer grooves rolled hot and didn't match what I heard.
