Been looking around but if anyone knows where to point me, or spots a link for a Tensei X flex 3 wood shaft for the Vapor Fly series, Id be appreciative!

I know where I can get a Tensei X driver shaft for the VF series, its the 3 wood length that is eluding me currently.

Based on past personal experience, the best option is to buy one with a different adapter and then buy the adapter and do the pull and reattach. You’ll ultimately save a lot of time.

Tip the driver shaft and use it for the VF fairway or are you wanting a 10 gram heavier shaft?

How does the Origin line compare to the OG Method 001 and Method Mod in terms of feel?

To me, the Origin is much softer off the face. All three are good putters though.

To me the origin was faster off the face too.

I did not care for the feel of on the Method 001 that I had. I prefer the Origin face. I agree and wish Nike made a mid mallet with the Origin face.

I also picked up a Vapor Fly 3W from a member (alecfeltman) and just put a Black Tie 7m3 in it last night. I had that shaft in my driver and didnt love it. I hope it works better in the 3w.

Origin feels a little bit softer than the 001. Only thing I didn’t like was the gap you could sometimes see on the heel and toe bumpers. I preferred the feel of the 001 more, but can’t argue that the Origins aren’t good putters.

Question: I purchased a JDM Vapor Speed 3wd it has two serials (AXXXXXXX and JXXXXXXX, don't mind the number of x's) and two dots on the underside of the upper flybeam.

I've seen on a few posts here that the dots mean tour issue. Can anyone confirm?

I also got a Vapor Fly Pro Driver from someone on here, It has a single dot on one of the flybeams. Any info regarding the "dots" is much appreciated.

2 dots is Tour Issue. I had one of those 3 woods as well. The face is slightly deeper and the head is overall more compact.

3 dots is also Tour Issue from my understanding with very little to no difference between these and the 2 dot version.

I'm not familiar with any clubs having 1 dot, so I cannot comment on that.

Okay sweet this makes sense. My current 3wd gamer is the Vapor Flex which i bought (from BESTGRIPS!) after the JDM Vapor speed and I thought the flex was going to be much smaller, but nope. Very close in size. The chrome face of the speed causes the illusion i think.

Thank you!

I would really like to see a book come out about the equipment side of Nike Golf. Kinda like one of those "oral history of...." stories You See about different things.

Ha.......there is, kind of. Not a book but there is a Nike Golf DVD; looking back Nike somewhat missed the title. :swoon: It was internal use only thus very candid and entertaining. Professionally done, nice cover, cool poster and the DVD itself.

I wish I had my copy but I think it was left in a drawer at my desk when The Oven closed. We had very little notice to pack our personal things and vacate the facility.

Some of the senior Nike executives used rather "colorful" language in their stories about the early days of Nike Golf. Maybe Nike will release an edited version at some point in the future; the story was very well done.
