Yep, $1200 is a bit steep.

 

There were several Nike drivers that had great performance that were in the 400cc range. Ignite 410, SQ Tour 410, and Dymo 380.

 

My all time favorite driver was the Nike Vr 420, especially the matt finish.

My all time favorite driver was the Nike Vr 420, especially the matt finish.

 

The vr tour was a awesome driver. I had mine with a Diamana whiteboard 83x and it was the best combo I have hit.

It's been a while since I've been around these parts. I was at a local Edwin Watts a few months ago and they offered to trade my VR Pro Combo CB's for a set of used similar condition (more bag chatter) VR Pro Combos. I jumped at the opportunity as I missed having the blades at the bottom of the set. Played my first round in like 6 months today and man, Nike has to get back in the game. I don't know what I'll do if Nike never makes a club again and I have to swap these out in the future lol

Well, hit the VF driver against my JPX900. The 900 661X at 10.5 launches higher than my old VFP in blueboard X at 12.5. The VF tensei S at 10.5 launches wayyyyy higher than my 900.

 

Distance with range balls was negligible. Less duck hooks with my VF too. Can’t wait for on course comparison now. Definitely more roll with the 900 bit more carry with VF. I have a ST180HL head on the way to pair with the 661X and see if that would compete out as well.

I’m still using a vapor speed driver at 9.5/10.5 with a blue board shaft and nothing has been able to replace it so far. Not the ping max or epic or anything.

 

Sure if I hit the rogue right in the middle in the perfect spot I get 15 more yards or so...but that’s not every shot.

 

Gonna whack this vapor speed till the wheels fall off.

I started using whiteboard d+ 70g xstiff on Vapor Fly Pro Limited head and last week I drove 345yds. Changing to xstiff made it go farther and straighter for me. I'm definitely keeping it for a long time.

Maybe wrong thread, but what’s the difference between a white vs blue board? Weight? Bend profile? Are all whiteboards xstiff?

Whiteboard/D+/Ahina are generally low launch and low spin. Blueboard/B+/Kai’li are mid launch and low spin (or is it mid spin?).

 

I like the WB/D+/Ahina shafts and tend to start there when hitting a new head.

I believe the blue boards have always been mid-spin and mid-launch. White boards low spin, low launch

I keep rotating different Engage lob wedges in my bag. I have all 3 grinds, and this past weekend I chipped in for eagle with the 60* Dual Sole. I think that one has won a spot in the bag for a while. I just wish the Dual Sole was better out of bunkers. That is why the 59* Toe Sweep keeps bumping it out.

My 52S and 58D are on their second season. I have 2 brand new backups for each. Will last the life of my VPC irons hopefully.
