I've stated this multiple times here, but for me the i15 was Ping's longest driver. I lost yardage with the G20 and G30, mostly because they just spun too much for me (~3300 RPMSs). The LST dropped my RPMs down 500 or so. I'm playing the 9* driver at 10* which is supposed to be a draw setting, but I find it really hard to turn this club over. Might get some hotmelt added to the heel, but mine's already hotmelted and I don't want to put too many grams in the head. If I have 6 grams in already, is another 4-5 in the heel going to throw the club off much?
Please research Mr Wishon...the amount of hot melt needed to affect ball flight and/or direction will make your G30 unplayable.

Check your SW of your current setup. 4-6 could add 2-3 points and if you're already playing a heavier weight you could turn it into a sledgehammer.
Unplayable?
It will weigh far too heavy rending the club unplayable because you will not be able to hit it....

I switched to the Rogue Silver 70g with a 105-110 mph SS and a 5+ AOA and it has been the most accurate driving season I've ever had. Nice high low spin flight.

I have pretty much the same numbers, and yes, that combo (LS 9 deg) for me is pretty much point and shoot. Unless I put a very bad swing on it, the balls travels long, and straight. I won't say its a lot longer than my Anser 8.5 with the RIP Alpha I used to play, which is now on the bench, but I have confidence that it will be in the fairway more times than not.

The G30 SF is the draw bias G30 driver.adding loft to 10 will only close the face a slight amount.I was alway taught the face need to be slightly closed to your swing path to create a draw.

I tried to get rid of mine, but it just flat out performs better than the other drivers on the market for me. I thought the r15 or M1 would lower my spin more, but the G30ls gave me the best numbers. I was shocked, but very pleased. It is just such a great driver.

I am tempted to try a new shaft though. Perhaps the Fuji Pro TS?

Take your current weight out, check it, and order one 4-6 gr heavier from BillyBob.

I have a G30LS with the stock tour 65 shaft, and hit it really well, but am looking for something that i might like a little better...........I figure if i find a new shaft for the Ping, it will keep me from snooping around at all the other new stuff........It's a wrx thing i guess.......Any suggestions?

Elements chrome?

I just switched from the t65s to the x. The S holds up very well, but the x right now actually gives me some more ball speed. Swing must be in the low 110s or it isn't worth it.

Having recently just got a 10.5 LS Tec with a stock X shaft, I put the shaft from my SLDR in it (TM TP Motore Speeder 7.3 X) and used it yesterday for the first time.

You sure don't hit the left side of the fairway with this driver. Lol. But I quickly gained much more confidence wth this driver as opposed to my SLDR.

Mine's at 44.25" and at C8/9 (had it measured yesterday) so I ordered another weight to get he head weight up another 4 grams (currently 199 without the tip).

I hit a few today with some lead tape added but it came off after a few swings.

I also going to try my Phenom NL in it. An adapter is en route with the weight.

I just played my first round with my XTS in the g30LS and hit 3 balls off of each tee. If you would show me the dispersion of the balls in the middle of the fairway, I would have sworn it was from a short iron.

Rome 688 has been great in it for me. It has beat out 6 or 7 other shafts I have tested. A good one on the cheap was the ping Tour 80. I actually liked that one in the driver better than the Tour 65.

Well, did it today... took my 915D3 to Roger Dunn right after my round and traded it for a LST 10.5 Tour 65 stiff. Actually had a great round today with the 915 but I feel like I am working hard to keep it in the fairway and since I traded away the Rogue Silver for the Black, it just doesn't feel the same. My buddy has the LST 9* Tour 65 stiff and it launches low for me but is easy to find the fairway so I am hoping the 10.5 does the trick, plus a little more spin probably won't hurt. Anxious to get it out now!

$230 is a great deal. I bought the 915 for $379 at the time and figured if I didn't keep it, there would just be that much credit.. So went in yesterday and found the exact LST I was looking for for $299, so now I have some extra store credit. Have yet to get it out on the range or course, but hit some into the net in my yard and, man, this thing feels much better than I remember the regular G30 feeling, and I liked that one a lot too.

Not going to read the entire thread so I'm sorry if this was already answered...any idea when new Ping driver comes out? I find myself loving the G30 LS but have probably one round left before spring (damn Minnesota winters). If I can save $50-100 by waiting for a price drop when a new product comes out I think that makes the best sense. Thanks

New driver should be introduced around the time of the PGA show in January.

Two completely different shafts. I underwent some swing changes with my short irons to improve consistency ( I was sweeping, now I am attacking down) and after that I was missing everything left with the LZ and it just didn't fit me any more.

When my swing was working for both, I would say the XTS has the better dispersion, slightly less spin and about the same trajectory.

Had to do the plastic bag trick. My ears actually hurt when i hit one a little low on the face earlier today. Hit a couple balls into the wash behind my house and it sounds much better. doesn't mute it as much as cotton balls did on my X2hot but they made it way to heavy. Great idea!

The cotton balls do make it heavier, but they really work. I read some guys are doing cotton plus a lighter weight which is a great option. I stuffed my 910 with about 8 cotton balls just to try it out and when I wanted them out, I just blew compressed air into the weight hole and blew them all out. It's not hard to change back if you use cotton. This club has a totally different sound when you catch it right which I like as part of the feedback it gives.

I actually held on to my X2Hot longer than i should have because of how great it felt and sounded filled with cotton balls. It actually almost sounded like persimmon. Im not going that far with this one, just needed to quiet it a little, not going for the full on mute like i did with the Callaway. AS far as the plastic bag trick ewlegal posted something a while back about it. Basically just stuff about 1/8 of a plastic grocery bag inside to mute it a bit. Adds almost no weight.

I don't remember but somewhere on the site there is a calculation, maybe .5 gram per cotton ball??? It wasn't outrageously noticeable, but noticeable none the less....
