They didn't make a 12* in the LS, but you might be able to order one digitally lofted somewhere close to that loft.

I just picked up LS 9 degree and I'm putting a project x LZ 70 gram 7.0 into it. My first non TM driver in a few years. Will report back with results.

So, I hit the combo on the range and a couple times on the course this morning, head to head with my AD MT, and got basically the same results. Distance was the same with both, and dispersion was about the same as usual. I prefer the feel of the AD MT, so I'll be sticking with that.

It's very doable if conditions are great. 98 ss on a great swing It's about 147 ball speed. With high launch and low spin you can get about 240 carry. With some tail wind and hard conditions you can hit it 280.

Hitting it on average 280? ? Not a chance

I watched David Simms hit a 7 irons like 600 yards once. Conditions were ideal though, downwind, and down paved road....

My average swing speed was 104-106 at my driver fitting and my drives are on average 274 according to my swing by swing app.

[/quote]I think a common mistake people make is taking the distance on the scorecard and subtracting the distance on their second shot to the green. I know I did and was surprised when I started measuring with a GPS app not as many 300+ drives as I once thought

This thing is a beast. First non tm driver ever. But it outperformed the r15 by so much it was ridiculous. Agree with those who say it just wants to go straight and loooong. My ss sits around 104-106 and I am consistently getting 275-280 yds from it. Am I the only one who gets better results from the ping regular (blue) stiff shaft? I am strongly considering upgrading the tm rbz 2 fairways to ping g30's off the back of this. Tested them today and they were so easy to hit off the deck and forgiving. The $750 price tag for the 3 & 5 woods with tour stiff shaft is the only thing scaring me off at the moment. Damn you Aussie dollar at 71c on the USD!!

I swing it 112 and average just under 280. Must be doing something wrong. Or I just measure my distance correctly.


Just a fun fact. If you are teeing of on a 400yd and have 100 in, that doesnt mean you drove it 300. Seriously. Not joking. Thats how some People measure their drives. 400 to middle of the green. Now Standing at the 100yd marker(to the front LOL). "Yeaaaaah that was 300"

[/quote]The only way I know my carry is the rare occasion I get on a Trackman or another launch monitor. When playing I can't tell where by ball landed (except into greens) unless it plugs. I can only tell total distance based on an app I use. Maybe I need glasses.

Wait a sec... 160 ball speed and 14.5* @ 2454? Get closer to 17* @ 1700? Shiels has a video with the LS - his best hit banging out 299 carry based on 166 ball speed with 15* @ 1750.

Got myself a Kiyoshi Purple 65 shaft in R flex and had a round a couple of days ago. Man it played well and I was within 10 yards behind my company's longest hitter. Very happy about the result.

Now this got me thinking - should I try the AD DI-6? My SS is 95-ish and since I struggle with S flex I have been using R flex with good results. Heard that AD DI shafts plays softer so perhaps I should get it in S flex?

In real world golf, 2454 RPM at 14.5* LA makes for very nice launch conditions.

Could his launch conditions be more optimized? Sure, but there's almost no chance he'd have that kind of dispersion.
