Has anyone compared the face angle of the 10.5* compared to the 9*? I have the 10.5 set on the big minus and it still looks a hair closed to me. I'm thinking about swapping for a 9* to play on the big minus to open it more, what do you think?

Guessing it is your perception, then again, perhaps you managed to snag a closed head? My 10.5 looks open even in the large + position.

Took mine out for the 1st time & hit about 20 balls on the course I always play. It progressively got better both distance wise & dispersion wise. Wasn't as long as my bio cell plus (was close) but to be fair I have been playing that for a year and a half. I think I might have to try my kiyoshi purple in the LS to truly see if it can beat the bio cell plus. Currently has the tour 65 ping stock shaft. The purple did make a difference for me when I swapped out the D+. Conflicted as to whether I finish this year off with the plus and start fresh in the spring with the Ls once I put a ping tip on the purple over the winter or just break in the LS now.

Wait until November is here, and the new Ping driver is released...apparently a large improvement on the G30/LS from what the rep has stated, but not sure what it's called.
Ummm.. OK.

In the meantime, if that's true, I'll pick up another on sale.

Just seems very odd timing to be true.

14 Pings. Blueprints are incredibly good. Fetch is the most underrated putter on the market. Don't @ me.

Definitely not trolling at all. All I've heard is that they have a driver for either Q4 or Q1 that exceeds both. Details apparently in November.

Got it, thanks. You've ripped on everyone in here for playing the LS when in your opinion it shouldn't work for so many people, posted in the LS specific thread. You've told people to get their head checked and that they are wasting time testing shafts, on Golfwrx. Thanks for the inside info that Ping will come out with a new driver in the future.

You're an idiot and a drama starter. If you read my quote you'd notice I told the dude to get his head checked after he said he was hitting it 330 with 2700 spin. I simply made a point that so many on here were having success, where everyone here is on tour (myself included) but yet 95% of Ping staffers were still playing and still continue to play the standard G30. My source for all Ping information, including sales from his shop, is the Ping Canadian fitter of the year at Ted & Dave's custom shop, and if you ask any Albertan who gets custom fit, chances are they've been to their shop.

Having 3 different convos is not ripping on "everyone" as you call it...please feel free to getting back to discussing the "longest, most all around forgiving" driver of 2015 in the LS.

Heard from a guy who talked to a rep who did say that there is a new driver coming soon, and that it is supposed to be some kind of major advancement compared to the current line. I thought it seemed soon compared to the usual Ping product cycle, and companies always say that their newest thing is better than the last. No name yet -- but supposedly, it would have the same family as in the current G30 line -- SF, Standard, and LS. Don't know the rep, but the guy who relayed the info isn't someone I know to blow smoke.

As for the argument that what guys play on tour should indicate that the LS shouldn't fit many people, I don't buy that. The tour guys have everything custom built to their specs, and even though their driver head may be the standard G30, the actual weighting and specs for a lot of them probably approach those of the LS. They can get basically whatever they want, regardless of what the outside package says.

Only my second post... I'm a 20 handicapper, (mostly because I can't putt to save my life). I've got about 12" of titanium in my spine, and have a 98mph swing with the driver. Pretty much an old man swing even though I'm only 38. My old driver was a Nike Sasquatch 13 degree. I was pretty consistent with it. 240, and straight. I recently walked into a GolfSmith just to check out what was new and got some help from one of the best sales guys ever. He spent over an hour with me on the launch monitor. I hit damn near every driver in the store and found that I could get another 30-50 yards out of most drivers. BUT, not real straight with most of them; even the standard G30 didn't work real well for me. In the end it came down to another Nike club and the G30 LS. Honestly, it was a no brainer as the LS was way more consistent on the monitor; ESPECIALLY with the "tour 65" shaft. In the end, I'm now at 280 and straight. That said, when I do miss, the consequences are a bit worse than with my old Nike. BUT, I also plan to take a few lessons to try and get my game a bit more dialed in.

Hope you found this review to be a nice break from the apparent drama.

I played the I25 and am getting better performance and more forgiveness out of the G30LS with the Tour 65 instead of the stiffer Ahina. It's game changing actually.

I have owned almost every driver out there and have gamed these for reference G2, G15 (bad experiment), 910, I15, SLDR (bad experiment), I25.

I can get it out there, but I do not really button it every time. This driver is right on for me.

This will be an indentical post to earlier in the thread so bare with me.

I have 2 of them right now as previously stated, that I rotate based on course.

10.5 at 45.5 inches w/125 MSI 70TX Rogue @ D5
10.5 at 45 inches w/Kuro Kage 70TX XTS @ D4

Both have 14.5 gram authentic Ping weights in sole

I flat bomb both, and prior to this season I've been a pretty awful driver of the golf ball.

First driver that when I miss, my hook is seriously toned down, my guess due to slightly open face and possible fade bias?

Either way, I never thought I'd game 2 driver heads exactly the same at the same time, but I've hit this driver so good ALL season, I don't see any reason why I'll change - ever.

Both heads I play in neutral position, for arguments sake.

I had a Diamana B70x I started at start of year with but launched too high and spun too much.

I just can't get enough of this head!
Can you comment on the differences between the setups? I have the rogue right now but also have a new kuro XT which I can't decide what to do with.
My experience. Rogue has more feel but seems to launch lower. XT feels stiffer throughout but launches a tad higher for me.

Love both, but I understand why Day, Rory, Scott are all playing the XT. It's my current gamer. Just killing it.
Aren't they gaming the XTS???
XTS was the proto name for the now retail XT

I have played 9 degree drivers my whole life, so naturally I bought the 9 degree LS. I guess it is part of the CG being more forward but I was hitting it way too low. My miss is left so I didn't want to "close" the face to loft it up. Swapped it for a 10.5 and it's perfect.

My advice, if you are coming to the LS from say a G25 or another typical driver (not intended to lower spin) go a degree or two up in loft.

if the spin is down I could see it being beneficial being in the air longer anyway. I think that is where I am getting my significant boost in distance.
