Coming from a Canadian back round i usually tell my ball to "skate" or "Hurry Hard" when i hit a put to soft.

 

Also if i over cook a wedge i just shout " Sit boo boo" ( yogi bear voice)

Not mine, but my brother's brother-in-law was routinely picking up his ball when he reached double par. He said he was upset that none of his scores had a cool name like "birdie", "bogey", etc... So he started calling his double pars "War Eagles".

One of my favorite episodes of south park is "butters bottom b!t$h" One scene has sergeant Yates yell out "give it to me"

So if me or any of my team mates have a shot going right at the pin I yell out "Give it to me!"

It has really taken off over the last 2 years in our group. I don't think they get the inside joke but you'll hear it said a few times a round..

A friend of mine is fairly new to golf so I've been slowly introducing various rules and etiquette over the rounds. During our last round he had asked me what the various parts of the clubs were called and he asked me where my focus was during my swing.

 

His term for the "toe" of the club is the "forehead" before being corrected, I think I'll stick with it for a while.

 

Apparently focusing on the front of the ball to make better contact works for him, but he'll be focusing on the "nose" of the ball.

 

I got a kick out of both and he'll probably not live them down for sometime.

I made up the term "Johnny Golf" which is defined as someone who constantly misses the green on approach shots but more often than not makes par anyway. Which is how I play most days.

I call any back-to-back double-bogeys a "Trip to In-N-Out" — "I was having a career round until I took a trip to In-N-Out on 14 and 15." (If you've never been to an In-N-Out, their most famous burger is called a "double-double.")

 

Once complimented an older guy who hit his 80+ foot putt to within inches of the cup by saying, "Great putt." He turns to me, serious as a heart attack, and says gruffly, "Great putts make noise." I've used that ever since.

 

Not really slang, but a funny one we don't use all that often anymore — I was playing in a two-man scramble on a weekend trip a few years back, and my partner is safely on the green, probably about 20 feet from the hole. My approach is mid-flight and he shouts, "GET INSIDE ME, PARTNER!" It wasn't until the others in our group were nearly in tears that he realized how that sounded. Probably heard it 20 more times over the rest of the weekend.

I pushed a tee shot right and landed just into the tall grass of a nature area. Guy I was playing with broke out "looks like you're a vegan." Might have to steal that one.
