Reed faces Spieth in the quarter final match Saturday morning if both make it through their round robin groups. If they both get to Saturday, I don't see Reed playing well enough lately to be favored in that match up. It certainly would be a fun match to watch though: Ryder Cup partners.

I agree. This will be a very fun event. Harding Park has a great vibe; relaxed, secluded and all about golf, played over a very charming course.

Unless an announcement to the contrary is made later, this year's match play championship is a one-off at Harding Park.

I picked Reed too. It pained me to put him over Spieth who I think could beat Rory right now. Kymer, Rose, or J Day could get hot.

Anybody think this thing seems a bit heavy in FedEx points for the losers. Not very fair to guys that didn't qualify.

I am thinking about going to the tournament, but I could only make it on Sunday. Is it worth going to on sunday? Is it going to be super crowded with everyone following just 4 matches?
