Good. Spieth has closed to 66 points behind in the World Golf Rankings, although the divisors mean he'll need a few more than that. If Rory isn't putting 100% into the tournaments, it will make it easier to catch him.

Here's a look at the groupings with each players record in this event (starts, # time beaten in first round, quarters, semis, finals, and overall W-L):

http://golfweek.com/news/2015/apr/27/pga-tour-match-play-golf-wgc-groupings-rory-spieth/

Gives an interesting look at some potential sleepers. Kucher is 17-4. Mahan is 17-7.

I love match play, and this course looks beautiful. Is this event scheduled for next year too? Would love to make the trip over to SF to see it next year.
I agree. This will be a very fun event. Harding Park has a great vibe; relaxed, secluded and all about golf, played over a very charming course.

Unless an announcement to the contrary is made later, this year's match play championship is a one-off at Harding Park.

They will move to Texas next year. I think a course in Austin.

Oh yeah, the Austin course. Talk about uninspiring. At least it will fit nicely in what is likely to be a Texas swing.

I wonder what grass area they used? Probably the Fleming 9 hole course to hit from. They don't have grass tee's there.

Probably rooting for a fellow Nike athlete, and taking the Nike charter back and fourth. If he does make it to the weekend?

They make it sound like traveling 1,140 miles in a private plane is hard.

I think Paul Casey will give him more than he can handle. He's playing pretty good golf while it seems Scott has been sort of off all year.
Agreed, I think Paul Casey takes out Adam.
