Fox Broadcast - US Open

My cable box has it coloured coded as a sporting event but apparently it's actually just a talk show.

Seriously contemplating going to sit in my truck to listen to it on Sirius XM.

This is just silly. Can't get any kind of feel for how guys are playing. It seems like Rory is making a bit of a move but they only show one shot for every two holes he plays.

I like the desk of 4. They actually had me laughing and I rather enjoy Weiskoph.Paven sounds like Johnny Miller! It's a helluva lot better than Faldo.

This coverage is just crazy. Too much non sense talking. No flow to the rounds of players. Having to listen to Sirius and hope to see something on tv. It is like Fox does not know anything about showing golf and it shows.

When fox actually shows golf it's pretty decent the announcers have actually been solid... The problem for me is the long periods they cut to the desk and don't show any golf. plus the chase cam or whatever is terrible.

I don't like the coverage .. Buck and crew are painful - like the guys you leave at the bar without telling. The camera angles and continuity of shots blow... Mix this in with a course I don't like, and I am having a hard time watching

[*]An in-picture scoreboard not LOCKED on the top five, especially when those particular players don't tee off for hours.
[*]Instead of telling me how many greens a player hit, which may be one more or less than the last time you told me, please tell me the yardage to the green. Much more interesting and relevant to what is happening at that moment.
[*]Please teach your camera operators how to track a golf ball in flight. I get dizzy when the camera pans in circles around the bunkers as the camera guy tries to find it 10 seconds after it landed.

That interview couldn't have been more uncomfortable - when she asked Sergio "how do you like this technology?" What the heck? It is a flat screen TV with his picture and his scorecard on it.

The Fox broadcast just became a big pile of donkey poo. How the hell could they bring up Dustin's past and hearsay during the open? What a pile of scumbags for allowing that. They should feel ashamed for that. Then again, this is a Fox station. They're not known for doing things with taste, facts and class. Just change the logo to FOX News not FOX USGA. Scumbags.

Well a report from the mother country.

Everything is fine here thanks. We have none stop golf with very few commercial breaks. We have our usual crew, Ewan, Rob, Paul McGinley and Monty guesting. We have our resident Americans, Butch, who is always entertaining and informative and Rich Beam, whom I grow to like more and more as the weeks go by. And best of all, no Mark Roe.

Sorry to be so happy in this sea of abject misery but it's just the way it is.

Oh yes and a bottle of red to accompany all of this joyfulness.

Greg Norman has been stunningly bland. One can tell he's spent way too much time in business meetings as his constant use of the corporate speak classic "at the end of the day" makes me feel like I'm back in that godawful world.
