As I said in my previous reply, very selfish. Zero consideration for another member.

I believe that the biggest "take home message" from this one is to file a claim with PP. In my book one unanswered message along with a delay in reasonable shipping and I am filing. Bet it spurs fast action - or worst case I get a refund.

Dead on post above regarding banning from sales. Sure, things happen in life. But how long would it take to reply, refund, or some combination?

I wonder if there will be any real accountability with regard to his membership or abilities to market on here. Such an open and flagrant disregard for the spirit of how transactions are supposed to be carried out.

They typically wait to ban people until after a dispute is settled that way there can still be communication between buyer and seller.

I'd leave the dispute open (if one was opened) until the item arrives. If you haven't opened one yet, do so immedietly so that you don't lose that option. You can always close it if it arrives, but don't do so before.

He probably had the club in the pawn shop up in eh Canada. Had to go pawn his mom's hair dryer to get it out and now he had to pawn his def lepard albums to pay for shipping. Now his mom is going to kick him out of the basement unless he can get the hair dryer out of pawn.

I'll follow the tracking, update this thread upon receipt, and then request that this be closed. I haven't had an issue in the past, and probably won't have any in the future, but have learned how to follow up correctly through this process - thank you for the help. OP got the item. Is site moderation going to ban the seller? If OP leaves negative feedback (which should be done) that would mean 4 negatives in 25 documented transactions. Need to protect the field here IMO.

I don't always ship the next day. My only window of shipping items are either Saturday (if I'm not working) or after work on certain days and I have about a 30min window of driving to the post office to drop it off. I'll tell the buyer I will email them to tracking number once I ship and usually tell them it will be shipped on a certain day. If I don't ship it on that day or know I wont be able to, I will email/PM them and let them know. Small items are easy if I have a box for it. I pre-print a label via USPS and give it to our secretary to give to the post man when he stops by every day. Bigger items I take in to get shipping/pricing options from all carriers.

Not everyone can ship the next day as much as we all (including me) would like. Though I agree, 5 weeks is just plain dumb.

I love this site.. But.. IMO people can get away with way to much before a ban is handed out.

Once you have a proven bad transaction.. Not shipping a few days late I'm talking ones like this.. You should be banned or at minimum.. Not allowed to sell on the BST.

Not actually, just priorities all f-ed up.

They would rather ban somebody for not falling in line with the opinions of the other sheep (Hackers Paradise crap also) or accidentally listing 11 items instead of 10 or opening another listing in 23.5 hours instead of 24 after closing 1 or relisting an item in 29.5 days instead of 30 or listing a NEW or NEW shafts instead of used (which makes no sense to me)......the list goes on.

I think most ppl agree he probably should have already been banned with the 3 he had. However I think you'd be protecting ppl from themselves and not the field. Most of the field would have bypassed dealing with this idiot. I still can't imagine why the OP would have ever even dealt with this fool with 3 negatives on the board.
