Just got 4 pairs of Kentwool tour series this week. I'm a fan. Amazing feel and comfort along with preventing sweaty feet!

Gold Toe makes a line called "Powersox" - after trying lost of others (I kinda refuse to pay 20$ for A SINGLE PAIR of socks), I can say they work very well and last well beyond the life of slightly cheaper socks. No slipping down into my shoes, the toe box lasts, the heel is cushioned well and the fit is snug.

I have both Kentwool and Swiftwick. The Kentwool definitely have more padding and seem to hold to my feet a little better than the Swiftwicks. I like them both and it just depends on what shoe I'm wearing that day.

Cheap, low cut socks. Our native rough at times will have all sorts of stickers and *****lies once it dries out. If you are or your group are having a bad day on the tee box, you basically have to burn whatever socks you wore after the round.

Bumping this back for some review info...

 

Bought some Kentwool's and Balega's based on feedback here and both are excellent. The Kentwool's are super thick whereas the Balega's are thinner and stretchier. I prefer the Balega's because with the Kentwool's my foot moves more inside the shoe as the sock squirms. As much as I've liked these socks I'd say that paying $12+ for a pair of socks is pretty crazy though. Russell Athletic Performance ankle socks are $3/pair and about 85% as nice as these others. These are my go-to socks, particularly when playing muddy courses where I'm going to come home dirty. I also walk a lot for fitness and the Russell's are plenty durable.

Icebreaker Merino Run+ micro socks are all I play golf in these days. Full merino wool so feel amazing on your feet, don't stink and leave your feet feeling fresher. Like the kentwool socks they run 10-15 per pair, but that is almost solely because of the materials used. Socks are one area where I don't mind paying extra to wear wool.

Stance 99% of time including their star wars collection. Some kentwool depending on what shoe I’m wearing as their original socks are a tad thick. Do want to grab their newer ones sincecive heard they aren’t as thick

I have a few pairs of Stance. Don't see much special about them other than the cool designs. When Golfsmith closed, I bought Reggie Jackson and Lou Gherig socks.

I usually buy the ASICS ankle socks from academy sports. They are reasonably priced and come in white, gray, and black.

Just pulled the trigger on some more Balegas. REI dividend and on sale. Balegas are the best socks for golf I have worn.

I have then all and swiftwick are ok but they are thin like spandex compared to balega or kentwool
