Not buying that for a second. No way they are destroyed.

Companies destroy product all the time/reuse the threads and whatnot. Also, product that has no chance of being sold doesn’t just get stored in a warehouse. Space = money in the supply chain world.

Also, in this particular instance, it’s not a guess.

Haha. Could you imagine little African kids walking around in snakeskin 11s with chrome bottoms.

Well, the chrome bottoms were foil. So I bet the chrome is gone by now. 🤣

Not sure if I refreshed too much but now I'm getting "Access Denid" when I try to go to NDC. It works in Incognito mode so not sure what that's about.

I think that's just their bot detection from refreshing, etc.  Clear your cookies and then reload, usually fixes it.

It’s just amazing to me that Nike would simply destroy product that would sell at such a high price. If those masters XI’s were put on StockX or GOAT they would sell for $1K easy. Now I know Nike can’t sell them legally and that’s the issue. But just crazy to me that they would be destroyed. Supply chain definitely isn’t my area of expertise. As a marketing guy, supply chain was a single 200 level class I had to take in college. I guess it’s my marketing brain that is making it hard for me to fathom such an in demand product being destroyed.

I'm not sure Nike cares what things sell for on the secondary market, except that it means there is demand for their items. If they wanted they could hike the prices up on their own and reap some profit, yet they don't.

I don't know what business agreements Nike has with ANGC, but I'd like to think they'd want to stay in good graces with them. To turn and sell could create quite an issue between the two, or ANGC could find a way to lean on the PGA Tour and make things difficult for them. Bottom line, you don't want to upset them.

That said, I've seen a few pairs make their way into the hands of individuals, not the XIs but some of the others planned for that week, so they may not have all been destroyed. But I think in the golf world more items go unreleased than we realize, I know of at least 1 manufacturer that had hundreds of thousands of balls locked away in storage because they didn't do their due diligence before naming it and printing on them.

I just got notice my all white ZITs will be warranted out and I will receive a voucher. It also says they recycle shoes deemed to be flawed. So they might have recycled the praying hands Jordan’s.

The only purposes for these to still be around somewhere are to line the pockets of some reseller or to gratuitously flex . At this point, I hope they've been recycled or sent off somewhere else to serve a greater good.

I’m actually surprised they feel softer than the V’s. In my opinion less heavy as well.
