For me it has to be Nippon Modus 120 steel shafts. Holy cow have they made a difference in my iron game. They are just soooooo smooth. All of my iron sets in the future will have them.

 

Coming in a close second is the Diamana Ahina. I know it is not the sexiest option out there, but it is the only graphite shaft that I can hit consistently. No matter what driver I put it in.

Project X (6.0's) steel iron shafts are the best iron shafts I've ever used (related to my ball-flight and feel and performance)

 

Aldila Tour Green/Blue driver/fairway/hybrid shafts. Great feel and performance. I have a Green 65x in my driver, Blue 75tx in my 3 wood, and a Blue 85x in my hybrid. They just work for me

Both of those shafts gave me launch and feels in a driver that were a significant improvement over all the others that I tried. Too bad the VTLT is virtually unobtainable now.

I have not. I was so happy with the NV performance that I didn't stray from it. I doubt you'll be disappointed if you go that direction.

Aldila Rogue 125 MSI has revolutionized my long game. Consistent numbers, great feel, and accurate. I won't be changing driver shafts for a long time.

have played both and both are very good. Nvs softer tip higher traj.,soft to flex somewhat. No stiffer tip and lower traj. And stiff to flex.Speaking of NV.

It can be graphite or metal. Could be for a driver, a fairway wood, a hybrid or an iron. What is the best shaft you've ever had on a club?

 

For me it has been the Aldila NV, which I know isn't very exotic. However I've now had it in two fairway woods and two hybrids, and essentially every time I picked up one of those clubs I had the confidence that I was going to stripe it. And I know it's the shaft because on second fairway wood I couldn't hit the damn thing until I replaced the stock shaft.

Aldila NV is the only shaft I've ever had in my Driver & I'm almost positive it's the only shaft I've ever hit in a Driver on the course. My buddy plays it in his X2 Hot 10.5* Driver and I bombed it a couple times. Very stable shaft and even though I swing ~115mph, when I eventually broke mine (S flex), I replaced it with the same flex. Perhaps the XS would play even better? Idk.

Driver: blueboard 73x. This and the 9* 2014 Big Bertha driver are the perfect combo for me.

FW: Speeder 757x. I have this in my 2014 Big Bertha 3 wood. Magical pair.

Irons: Modus3 tour 105x HS1. So smooth, not too light, and very stable.

Irons either Ping ZZ Lite or Dynalite. Woods, steel it would be Wilson Staff Pro,. Graphite driver Rapport Blue Velvet or Aldila HM-40. Fairway woods True Temper EI-70.

Aldila VS Proto 80x hybrid.

 

I have pulled and epoxied the same shaft into 6+ hybrid/driving iron heads over the past 10 years. I love it.

 

My Nippon SPB's have also been in 10+ sets of iron heads. I guess when I find a shaft that works, I stick with it.
