Actually we are getting the same thing except our winds on the coast are supposed to gust to like 60 MPH. Schools in 5 counties are closed today along with all non - essential Government services. We are supposed to get 3 to 5" of rain. Of course the last time we got a storm 3 weeks ago the weather gurus said that and we got 11" on my end of the beach. It has somewhat started with the wind now but no rain yet. The bad stuff is supposed to hit about noon. As SOP for us we are hunkered in with plenty of supplies. My course sent out via member text they would not even open today

I did not watch nor cared to. Do not know if I hit my numbers on the pool yet. I did look on my feeds this AM to see who won. My OSU rabid fan bud has not commented yet on FB. Not in my water supply.  Well (75' deep), iron removal system, water softener, post treatment carbon filter, 3-stage reverse osmosis (kitchen sink, ice maker).  Clean and pure.

Our balmy winter so far is coming to an end.  Blustery and rain/snow today.  Friday's forecast sounds ominous according to the NWS forecast.  Deepening low is projected into the middle of the state.  The "confidence level" still a bit uncertain due to atmospheric conditions impacting the track.  As it stands this morning, the forecast for Friday into Saturday is for up to 12" of snow.  Depending on what side of the low pressure 'vortex' we're on.  Then single digit temps next week.  Knew that winter weather would arrive sooner or latter.  Snowblower is ready for deployment to battle the elements.  Bring it.

Begrudging props to the Wolvies.  Saw enough by the 4th quarter, turned off the game and went to sleep.  And remain in a news free zone this morning, don't want to read anything about it.  Can't even muster any snark this morning.  (Does Rogue Stalions get a ring for his contributions?)  This too shall pass.

That is because you have a deep well and not on Municipal water. I wish we were. Most deep wells here right on the coast have too much salt and stuff. In fact golf courses here have to constantly filter irrigation water even brackish water to remove salt and other stuff.

Best thing we ever did was put in a reverse osmosis system. Made a big difference cooking.

Thoughts about the national football championship last night.

 

There was a clear winner. Nuff said.  The thing I get and yet don't get is willingness to keep playing a wounded QB. Yes, it's the big dance -- all the chips are on the table.  Yes, many play injured.  Its football.  

 

But is there no tipping point where the risk of permanent or career ending or life-threatening injury is the bigger concern?  Once the clock is running out, and options are getting narrow, wouldn't the injured guy be sat for everyone's sake?   This is why they don't call me and ask what I'd do.  I'm obviously wrong - again.

Injured or not that guy was not seeing the field all that well at any point. But there were other factors. Poor D 1st half, key penalties (twice by same guy) They lost it more than other team won it.

Our winter is going to start today as well. The same storm is coming here. Local school buses have been cancelled which does not happen often. Not sure how much snow/rain/freezing rain we will get and the week ahead looks challenging as well. I stay put when conditions are bad and have good winter tires once they clean things up.

 

It looks that my exercise today will have to be on the exercise bike. It would not be a good walk as I am still recovering and I will behave myself.

Really? I mean I don't know college ball all that well but aside from RB (he was the offense), that team was not off the charts great. The QB was meh (over rated to me), the coverage on WR was poor, the D line was okay but W had time to throw. They gave up dumb penalties and despite all that they won.

Penix was 27/51 with 1 TD and 2 picks

 

And as you said, he had time. The D line was staying in their lanes and containing him, and that Michigan secondary is stellar. They play the pass great and also bust up the run. 
 

Agree, Michigan O is slow, but they just pushed Washington around

Man, he seemed hurried a lot to me. Even w/Michigan only rushing 4, Penix seemed pressured a lot. And when he did get a pass off he was ridiculously inaccurate and when he wasn’t the receivers dropped it.

He had more time than any QB on the Jets, lol. Penix is no Tom Brady though, he missed big opportunities down field and threw to the wrong guy several times.They had several drives in early 2nd half and came up zippo.

Ya the highlights I saw vs Texas he was hurried and flushed out a lot but was able to hit guys who toasted Texas DBs for big plays. 
 

Michigan only sacked him once but contained him well and the DBs close fast, gave him very little.

Indeed. Washington needed the Penix from the Texas game. Penix was a different player last night. But we can definitely attribute some of that to the Michigan D and possibly playing thru an injury.
