Got no horse in this race, but damn. About the only thing that gets me a little bit interested in the NFL is consistently close games. You’d think the playoffs would be close…. This year looks like nut cutting after nut cutting. 👎🏼

I held up my part in hating the Pats. But I have a lot of hate to go around so I kept mine up for the Cowboys as well. 
 

Is there anything better shot than watching Jerry turn away from the field disgustingly?!

Like with many organizations. The fans are far worse than the team. Are there more obnoxious fans than Cowboys fans??? I mean there are definitely contenders, but ya get my drift.

Thanks for digging up the info. I'm glad there's lots of backlash and I'm glad NBC/Peacock

Sometimes I'm almost more for the city than the team.  Detroit went through so much in the last 25 years.  Baltimore Colts couldn't have had a better fan base - and it was all ripped away in the middle of the night.  All these years later, those fans are so ready to finish big.  Always thought it was so cool the Packers organization is owned by the stockholders many who live in or have strong ties to the community.

Ravens probably the best team in the NFL this year. I know little about Baltimore.

 

When we drove for Schneider Nat'l we were in Wisconsin a lot and many times in Green Bay.

It's actually a pretty nice place and to look at it you would not think it big enough to support

an NFL team. It has a small town feel. Of course, cheeseheads come in from all over the state

and fill up that place on game days, no matter how bad the weather.

Your comments made my mind flash to places like Blacksburg, VA where VA Tech sits in a small, remote, unassuming town.  Lots of similar examples.  Buffalo NY is not small-town USA by any stretch, but it's a considerably smaller market than many NFL cities. 

 

Never made it to WI in my travels.   In one sense, I envy your years of travel compared to mine.  I flew wherever I went for the most part.  I got see it from 32,000 feet.  You saw America up close.  It's interesting up there, but the Grand Canyon for example looked like little more than a big ditch - lol.

That's Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University to us engineers who went there.

 

Va Tech to the business and social sciences folks who changed majors after their first quarter of Calculus.

I flew quite a bit in the 70s and 80s; most of it work related. May sound weird these days

but I don't think I've been on an airliner since we crossed into the 21st century. I started

driving a truck in 1995 and lost all urge to fly places or travel in my off time. Occupational

hazard I guess. 

 

We criss crossed the country so many times in 25+ years of driving the 48 states and Canada

that it became such a bore. People would say to us "oh how nice to travel the country together!"

 

Yes, if we were leisurely driving a motor home on our own schedule and go where we wanted

to go, sure. But it's not like that. We were driving a big truck and subject to state and national

DOT at all times, going places others chose for us and on a schedule that demanded we run

1000+ miles a day. Driving as a team was rough. Most loads were time sensitive and the

pressure was on to race across the country, good weather and bad, and deliver the loads

on time.

 

Cobi and I are such homebodies in retirement. Others might go stir crazy living the life we

live. We are happy to NOT have to go anywhere. @BIG STU knows. He's of the same

mind.

 

Yes, we saw many places up close. We have our opinions about various places but I have

always kept in mind as we traveled around, that every place we went was "home" for

someone, notwithstanding that we might despise the place ourselves. We also kept it

to ourselves.
