Way to go Goober.

Good things will happen if you continue the hard work and dedication. You're an inspiration to all of us.

Way to go Sammy!

Great playin'

https://www.njsga.or...menpublinx2013/

That was three years ago now , if you did not see the date. Even then i always managed to three putt the first green for a bogey.

Although they did put a article up about the qualifier i medaled last week.

I didn't see the date either Sammy.

What a compliment: “A golf pro we know said her swing reminds him of Steve Stricker. It’s very repeatable.”

He was being nice probably. I was pretty inconsistent then , but i was also searching for a swing too.

I say this with admiration, respect and compassion: Stop with the negative self-talk, Sammy :)

I was literally inconsistent ands very confused then. I try to be more positive , but it is not always easy.

I am just in Florida playing in the events on the former Suncoast tour. I am hitting it better than ever , but in the two events so far my scoring is awful. So , i just am trying to figure out how to fix that.

Sometimes we hit the ball well and can't score, other times we don't hit the ball well and manage to score. Golf is a funny game.

Good luck Sammy!

That can be true , but i am scoring the worst possible scores in every round no matter how it goes. I shall keep grinding it out.

You will grind through this Sammy!! Keep your confidence, keep the faith and keep your focus. You will Play through this. Just visualize your great shots and scoring from your past successes and you will start to put rounds together. You are in Richard's and my thoughts and prayers :) Fondly, Madison

If you're truly a scratch or plus handicap, -4 is the sweet spot of sandbagging.

If you're a scratch to a -3 or -4, they're all 7's. You can shoot a 69 or an 85 and no one bats an eye when you're a 7.

Goobers, how's your short game? Why aren't you scoring? Poor lag putting and proximity with irons? Let's figure this out and get you back on track! I'm waiting to see you hoist some crystal on the LPGA!

I was making fun of that stupid 4 handicap topic in the Instruction forum. Aside from falling back into swing purgatory stuck between new ands old , i do everything pretty good. My putting can be blah though. I know sometimes i overthink shots. I just thinks i need to keep playing in these to figure it outs ands get more consistent. Every round seems to have a couple of holes where i hit a not that bad of a shot but end up in a terrible lie or so.

I think i may try becoming a 4 handicap , because they seem to be able to beat everybody in golf.

Most the guys posting in that thread have no friggin idea how a Pro hits a ball, male or female, lol.

How are your critters doing??

Always remember that there is not one single Player, at any Tourney that you're gonna Play in and I don't care what Tourney or what Tour, that' had been through what you've been through just to show up and plant that tee!!

You're gonna have days, rounds and tourneys where your swing's not "there" or the ball's not rolling right and it's a dog fight to just go sideways-

You've got the mental strength to do it!!'

Go into your world, walk breathe and think of your critters and then just focus on the next shot!

Just put one foot in front of the other Sammy!!!

These days, rounds and tourneys will pass

May you always have Fairways Greens and a Fair Breeze My Friend

  • 2 weeks later...

Since peoples said they still wanted some posts , i could share my learning experience of how petty women golfers are no matter the level. Also , how hard it is to be *different* out there. I played with another amateur this week in the first round. I am awkward , but i try to be somewhat social ands make sure to tell them about my things ands to let me know if anything is wrong.

The second hole i asked her to pull her cart up because it was close to the tee box to my right at address. She seemed maybe annoyed , but i was nots sure. A couple smaller things later , but overall it seemed alright. On the back nine I was just +1 after 11 holes. I kind of hooked my tee shot on the par five , but it dog legs left , so i thought it could have a chance. She was adamant that it went in after the first red stake over the junk stuff to the left side. I questioned it , because it was not that bad of a hook , but she kept saying how it duck hooked really hard at that stake ands there was no way it was further up in play because we would have heard it hit a tree. I was not sure , but i also did nots want to hold things up by riding farther up after already looking for a little bit , so i took my drop ands ended up with a bogey.

After my shot from the drop i ride past the palm like trees ands right in a small clearing with a clear shot into the green was my first ball. A rules guy gave the obvious ruling. I was annoyed how she said she was 100% positive ands did have a better angle being past the tee box watching. I hit three wood on the fringe for my fourth shot ands two putted. I told her i was not really mad at her , but just the whole situation was crap. She never said sorry or anything , just responded with *that's golf , * which did actually annoy me. I kept my wits pretty well ands finished alright when i usually woulds have folded from it all.

We were waiting on the next par five , so i mentioned it is a shame there were no spotters for these ands again she responded with *That's golf.* So , in complete jest ands it not a serious tone , i said i will make a voodoo doll of her ands poke it for making me take that drop. I also said i was just kidding to make light of the whole situation ands i do not practice voodoo. We finished the round fine ands she even said tomorrow woulds be faster since we were first off.

The next morning , the head rules dude called me aside with a couple others who run the tour. He asked if i rememberd the ruling he made when she gave me the bad info. He then said that in that morning she told them that i threatened to hurt her ands she felt unsafe being around me ands would not be comfortable golfing with me. Also warned me that if anything like it happens again , i will be banned from playing on the tour.

So , now if she tells others her version , i will have a bad reputation or whatevers. I just am not sure why , when i made sure to tell her to say if i did anything wrong to her to let me know. Also , i am tired of women always going behind your back in these things when a minute interaction would have resolved it all. Now , i am scared to say anything in upcoming events incase it is taken wrong ands i get banned. I feel she did nots like playing with me ands used this as a way out , but i am always self-conscious about the Autism stuff.

This is not the first time this kind of thing has happened as i have been accused of cheating too many times to count behind my back ands tournament directors coming up to discuss it. The most absurd one was i was using extra irons on the tee box behind me to help my allignment. Like five yards by the tee marker behinds me.

I think overall , i did okay dealing with it all when in the past i probably would have withdrew and been overly sad. I really do not think i am hard to play with but i feel some are using excuses to not want to play with me for other reasons. It is getting old that i never get to explain my side of things to anybody. Also , i am learning i enjoy playing with Asian (European mostly too) golfers much more than Americans. She was a typical pouty pampered princess diva type in the end ands i wish i could knock her teeth out now if it was a video game world with no troubles from it.

I think i will just keep to myself now ands protect myself instead of trying to be more social.

Also , very surprising that some professionals do nots understand how to even take relief from cart paths. One took about three illegal drops in the second tournament i was in and was also five minutes late to the tee time without as much as a warning.

'Thats golf.'

Just kidding. That sounds horrible. People can be cruel and competition can bring out the worst (or best) in people. Keep your chin up. It sounds like you didnt let it bother you, so thats great!
