So... here’s the poor mans lamb shield. Lol

Been looking forever for an alternative and I think I found it. Also have the colored version coming tomorrow. Love my Lamb markers but not able to get that shield one, this might help sustain the addiction. Hahaha

pop tops are awesome but the shields are something else. i know you've been searching for a while for the shield. continued luck-- but it's only gonna get harder to get hands on one. i imagine the collections with these are the ones who won't be letting them go easily. i'd spend the 300-400 on one before they're completely eaten up.

Really can’t justify $300-$400 for one. Maybe $100. But I’d rather put that to a Lamb putter instead. Can’t win it all I guess. I’ve got about 3 donut markers in my rotation. I actually would love a divot tool too. One can only wish.

Although I do not have a putter I love Tysons ball markers, and the leather goods he puts out are amazing. Quality, and durability on the covers and markers are great. Just waiting for my turn at a Hartwick LOL.

Funny all the paint fill fell off my donut...

Does the "Do not flip or you will not get another" rule apply to markers, covers etc,etc,? Just curious,,,,,,

Again, I really don't think Tyson has real problem with "flipping". As Jasonfish_02 mentioned, the whole "good luck getting another from me" IG post stemmed from a guy trying a flip a release putter before he even had it in hand. Tyson was annoyed and wanted the release putters to get into the hands of those waiting months for one, not for a guy to make $1k for being quick with the check out button.

No offense, but is that (bolded statement) not a textbook example of flipping? As such I would say TL has a big problem with flipping, contrary to your first claim.

I'm not sure where this obsession with controlling the market comes from. TL is certainly capable of restricting product to the "true fans" by screening every order personally, however gross revenue will dip. I just don't see any outcry from the base that says "I can't get an order because flippers are dominating the market". I've read plenty of "I can't get an order because of X" ITT, just not that specific reason from that specific section of the base. Granted, I did tune out of this thread for a good 30+ pages so I may have missed a couple comments... :blush2:

It's a double-edged sword - limited production/supply is what is driving the value up and in turn the collectibility of his goods. Consumers have to accept that as a cost of enjoying the ownership of an exclusive good.

Further, I don't see this hurting the brand in any way. I won't venture a guess, but a decent portion of the buyers of Cameron's limited release stuff have no intent whatsoever of keeping the stuff they are fortunate enough to purchase direct through the website - it's headed straight for the bay from the first click. And you don't see Scotty get all hot and bothered about it.

Maybe it's apples/oranges, or maybe TL "cares" about his fans more than SC, but I think at the end of the day these kinds of reactions from Lamb are having a negative effect on his brand and reputation.

No actually please no one pay close attention so I have a shot at getting something :taunt:

Though much is taken much abides;
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

I want a donught ball marker,, but $$$, so I will probably make one.

Wonder what will be posted?

Putter covers, the pop top markers, donut markers, xmas marker, and maybe divot tools. and soft goods / etc. I'm just guessing...

I'll settle for my poor man's Shield marker. Getting it by mail today (colored version). LOL Its amazing, ebay has 3 shield markers, two brass that are well over $400. A stainless steel version for $270 at the moment with 6 days left. *sigh*. These things are like bitcoins now.. LOL

There is more to the situation I briefly typed out. This was a blank putter to be customized by the purchaser. This guy offered to send the eBay winner's customization requests to Tyson for $1000 on top of the original price. This essentially turned the ebay seller into a distributor of Lamb Crafted which he is not. Only Table Rock has that privilege at this time.

To be fair, the example I used in your quote is text book flipping. I was lazy and didn't type out the situation cause I did it a few pages ago and assumed everyone was caught up. I've actually heard Tyson say he isn't bothered by flipping / flippers and understands their role in the market. He worked hard to get putters into people's hands that have waited a long time so he was rightfully annoyed.

The SC to TL is apples and oranges. Two very different businesses and situations.

Thank you for explaining - it sounds like the circumstances surrounding this particular transaction are/were very unique.

Anyone know if putters will be dropped this week too? I'd really love an Allendale

Since I haven't seen many reviews of actual products, I was one of the fortunate ones to get a putter during Tyson's first release a month ago. I've been able to play several rounds with as well as several lengthy practice sessions. It really is an incredible piece of equipment. The craftsmanship and finish on it is absolutely better than any other putter I've owned. It's flawless from a fit and finish standpoint. In use, it really feels like a fine-tuned instrument. It has a really nice weight, both from a headweight and balance perspective. The milling is such that it provides a nice solid thump. Almost like a deep pitched click, really nice. Not too soft, not too firm. Maybe slightly more firm than my buttonback, but it seems more substantial than my 009 as well. It's a really impressive putter. I'm just really thrilled with the finished product. Anyone that can get their hands on one, do not be concerned and know the efforts you take to get one will be well worth it.

Now, I do wish their products were easier to purchase. But then again, the chase is half the fun.

The warning turned me off big time and his interview put the dagger in any interest,,,,,,I read this thread and it reminded me of the SC beginnings back in the day,,,,but hey,,,, enjoy your putters , markers and other merchandise from Lamb,,, it’s your money, spend it which ever way you see fit,,,,
