:cheesy: the first time pro V's came out I was playin with a fella who was franticly looking in the brush for his pro V. Ya thought the guy lost his wedding ring.

That's why I don't play them. Don't mind loosing a $2 ball. ;) lol

I received some in the mail today as well. Just says "Test" on the side between two gray arrows. It looks and feels like a Prov 1.

I played mine today. I would be very surprised to learn that these are pro v's. Very firm feeling and didn't spin near as much as a pro v. I was playing in 22 mph wind gusting to 33 and they performed well but didn't feel soft at all. They held their line well when I put a good swing on them.

I played mine today. I would be very surprised to learn that these are pro v's. Very firm feeling and didn't spin near as much as a pro v. I was playing in 22 mph wind gusting to 33 and they performed well but didn't feel soft at all. They held their line well when I put a good swing on them.

They are the new PRoV's if the number is red it an X if black its a Prov1.

Received mine today. Red numbers, dad also received a sleeve yesterday with black numbers. Putting with them in house and of course mine come after we already went golfing today. Hopefully I can get another couple rounds in this year! Here are a couple photos if anybody is curious! First time in maybe 5 years I've got test balls!!!

I got mine this week, black letters and number, so I assume Pro V1. I did some chipping and putting in the basement and they feel soft, spinny, with a clunk sound rather than a nice Titleist click. Does everyone get the same formulation of the same ball type - or since I'm an old guy are they trying something special for my age group??

Black letters, red numbers like a prov1x. But sounds like they all are like the X or V1...Could they sneak in some NXT's that look like Prov's or are the NXT Test balls look different?

Got my black numbers yesterday. I wonder if this is the next generation of the NXT that will come out for 2018? The ProV is all ready finalized for the 2017. Unless they just want are feed back for the new Pro V? I've been getting test balls now for the last 10 years. Before I'd get at least two different models some times I'd get 4. This year just a sleeve. Oh well nothing better then free balls!

I played with it for a few holes today. It was a good 5-10 yards shorter than my TM tpx. Softer. Felt great off the irons and putter. Spun a bit more than I'd like. I'll do more of a head to head Friday. I was in a match today.

I'm sorry, I may have confused you. TM has a new tour preferred ball coming out. Better in almost every way then the TP/TPX. It is called TP5 and TP5X. It has been called a game changer.

Not sure when I can test mine that came yesterday. Black numbers for me also. Had they come a week ago I would have given them a go under tournament conditions. They did ask to play them next to your current ball so I guess if I can sneak out 9 holes and hit 2 balls that is what they are looking for.
