Not surprisingly, the South Course at Torrey Pines played to a field scoring average of over par, the first such course this new season. 12 of the 18 holes played over par, led by the par 4 12th (+.435) the par 4 15th (+.312) and the par 4 4th (+.224).

 

Last season the 12th at Torrey Pines South was the 3rd toughest hole on TOUR, playing +.508 to its par.

Spent all day at Torrey pines on Sunday. Weather was fantastic. Was on the 18th fairway watching ishikawa hole out for eagle. Spent the Last 3 hours in a corporate tent on17 seeing some great shots in. Saw rahm's birdie there as well as another hole out for eagle. Missed the eagle by rahm on 18 but definitely heard it!
