Robert Damron (remember him?) having a go at Justin Thomas

The only thing that I will say, and I believe that I spent enough time around the Man and spoke to him enough to form this opinion and that is that to stand behind one's words and actions and this includes honoring commitments and being there for one's closest friends is one of the foundational bedrocks on being the type of man that Mr. Palmer would have been be Proud of, approved of and understood, even if that meant missing his tournament to honor that commitment.

With only 20 of the Top-25 signed to Play thus far, what about DJ, Adam scott, Jordon Speith, Phil or Patrick Reed, to name a few???

Are their tweety attacks forthcoming, lol??

Obviously ever Player who has teed it up Post-Palmer directly or indirectly owes Mr. Palmer a deep and hopefully sincere debt of gratitude however there is nothing in my world more important than my Family and closest Friends, and obviously Justin Thomas has similar thoughts and beliefs.

I'm just curious why no tweety shout outs to Phil, Adam, Jordan or Dustin, LMAO?

I will give RD credit for coming on the board to respond-

Hats off on that move ?

I'm still not sold on using a keyboard to rip someone publicly-

The way to motivate one to positive action is not to attempt to humiliate them-

Please don't tell me that that was not the intent as #1, the intent of one's words or actions are not determined by the speaker of those words or deliverer of said actions but instead the recipient of either the words or actions and to most recipients, a public tweety scolding is meant to chastise, demean or bilittle, i.e., humiliate.

There are much better ways to represent and honor Mr. Palmer's commitment, legacy and memory-

Given Justin Thomas's actions in this situation and RD's response, ya don't have to be a Mensa or even know Mr. Palmer to know which side of the table that he'd be sitting-

For you young guys, as someone who's been down the road a bit and made my share of mistakes, if you ever want to influence someone positively and attempt to change their words, thoughts or actions, try to talk to em belly to belly and that's not doable, call on the phone and speak to them privately one on one-

You don't have their phone number you say?

Then you don't know em well enough to tell em *** anyway~

Just take care of yourself and you just do the right thing and let them learn as they live :)

Just my .03 worth?

Stay well Gals & Gents ?

All the Best,

RP

Well stated, but I don't agree with everything here.

I reached specifically to JT because 1) I saw his tweet while sitting in Bay Hill locker room. 2) I'm friends with his agent, and have spoken to him about this a couple times already. 3) As a Kentucky player I feel a little more connected to JT (which may be silly). 4) I personally went out of my way to introduce JT to Mr Palmer 3 years ago and had him sit at our table for a couple drinks.

Also, I'll have more to say on the topic on Morning Drive next week. I'm not a big tweeter

The man has been forthcoming, courteous and patient.

Can we agree to call this horse beaten to death about 3 times already and have some productive conversation in the other, or any other, thread?

Yea Bro, once I get to beat it, you know me, I'm like friggin gumby,

I'll agree to just about anything :)

However last time I looked, that's what this thread was about, though through the dilaudid haze, maybe it took a left turn and I went right ?

I have been known to drive threads into the depths of hell?

Besides, I don't agree with the yahoos takin shots at RD but anonymity, keyboards etc. have a way of makin men out of mice-

Stay well my Friend?

Always,

Richard

LOL, wasn't directing that at you - you and Damron actually knew Arnie, that is relevant!

I've gotta agree, that I'd lock her down cuz RD has gone out if his way to answer all of the questions and he's done so with Class and Hawk's right, we pretty much have beaten the **** outa this horse, lol

Haha, I was tryin to get into my twitter account to tweet that my BFF sucks cuz he had his bag stolen out of his car today and in that bag was a Napa T that was given to me by a very special friend straight from his bag and since I wasn't using it, I let him.

His insurance agent, who claims to be a golfer, called him when he saw the $1750 tag on the putter and said, "you do realize that insurance fraud is a felony," lmao

I can't remember my friggin PW or email, at least the one I used when I signed up

Boy, Today has really sucked, lol

Thanks for being gentle RD?

RDD;

Thanks for coming on to WRX and defending your position. Though I don't necessarily agree with you on this one, it's pretty cool how often we get current or former touring pros chiming in on the boards.

Hope you stick around! Cheers!

I'll stick around as long as I get questions. Plus I'll probably check back in from time to time so I can read about how bad I suck on Morning Drive!

Yeah, man.

And let me say, when you holed out that eagle 2 that time.

That was awesome.

huh?

He's wanting you to post a picture of yourself holding a requested item (or some such) so that he can verify that you are actually RD. Some folks need an angel to slap them in the face before they believe in God, too. (not comparing RD to God, but you know...)

RDD tell the higher ups at GC that it'd be awesome if during the week they showed more of the drills that players are doing on the putting green, chipping green, range, etc. It's always fun to see how tour players prepare during the week for a tourney. If couple players would agree to doing a short interview explaining what they are doing that'd be awesome too.

Tune into GC! Come on now.

I'd verify myself with a photo but you all finding out Mel Gibson is on here would blow up this site for any number of reasons.

On a scale from 0-10, with 10 being 'the worst', how bad did it sting to give Robyn $400M in the settlement? I'm thinking it's a solid 10, but your mileage may vary.

Can we at least stop replaying Tin Cup 11 times each week (as discussed at length earlier)? I used to enjoy the movie for the most part, but now I don't hesitate to turn the channel when it is on.

Robert, if you're checking in ... do you consider Bay Hill your favorite course?

And once again, I really enjoy your commentary.

Thanks. I'm biased, but I do think Bay Hill is one of the best designed courses I've ever played. TPC Stadium and Quail Hollow too.

Thanks for the kind word re Quail Hollow. I've never played there but I do marshall the Wells Fargo and will be doing so for the PGA, too. It really is a great layout. Mr. Harris and crew have done a great job. I can't wait to see the changes to holes 1-5.
