Sorry, but an unknown playing well doesn't move the needle nearly as much as a well known playing poorly.

 

Unknown? He's won on tour this year and has shot a 59 as well. I feel that's far from unknown.

 

I'll admit I haven't followed as closely the last two years, but what tour event did he win? I wasn't unfamiliar with his name, but I'm surprised he has won if true.

 

Edit - looks like he won the 2015 Northern California Open. That's a N Cal PGA Section event, not to be confused with the PGA Tour.

Obviously Joe Buck has more qualifications than most of us here but I wonder if he knows golf.

I remember when Koepka is hitting his second shot with a long iron Buck said "Koepka with a 3 wood." Also on 9, someone was teeing off and Buck said "Player A hitting his second into the green."

Maybe he is not paying attention.

Just have to say that fox stinks. I just realized that my dvr did not capture anything past 3pm today. Why ? Fox starts and stops coverage from the multiple fox networks . I hit record for the entire event. But at 3 pm it stopped and started a new event. Thanks fox. So I have to go in and program it to record several events to get the whole show. I know I know it's ultimately my fault. But damn. Why so much swapping around. For the first two rounds while I was out of town I could watch half the coverage and the other half I didn't hav the correct fox Chanel. Just piss pour. It's as if this isn't a big enough sports event for thm to dedicate one Chanel to for the entire length.

You could put duval in his spot and instantly have someone who knows three times as much and hast he ability to articulate that info in a way that makes joe buck look like uncle buck.

Faldo is miles better than anyone on Fox. Give me Faldo and Nance in the tower at 18, Feherty on course and Finchy thrown in somewhere along with Peter Kostis, and I'm a happy man.

I guess Faldo and Chamblee are ok I guess. If you feel like listening to anecdotes about what Faldo did and how great he was 25 years ago, or want to be impressed by how much more Chamblee knows about the golf swing than any other person alive. If you prefer listening to commentary on what is actually happening on the course I think there are better guys to have in the booth.

So far I've enjoyed Fox coverage. While I wasn't a big fan of Azinger in the past, I think him and the rest of the crew are doing a good job. CBS and NBC coverage is starting to get a little tired. Nice to see something different.

That's weird...my DVR caught that automatically.Thursday\Friday coverage started on Fox Sports 1 and then switched to regular Fox. Same way last year. I did have to set that up for both channels....but Fox is showing a crap load of golf!.l I like it.
