US Open coverage by FOX

So many Holly haters. Didn't see that coming. Yes she's got some work done recently which I think she looked better before I think she's still a smoke show. Besides from looks I think she's a decent commentator just in the wrong position.

 

Shot tracer is amazing.

 

Joe Buck ruined football for me and is now ruining golf.

 

Golf on fox just doesn't feel right. I'll still watch it but I won't like it.

Was watching live from on the golf channel and saw Mike Tirico. Was a little confused by this, I thought he used to be on ABC. And the golf channel being affiliated with NBC then the network coverage on fox. When I first starting really watching golf he was in the booth. I think Mike does a good job. I miss him and Curtis and him talking about someone hitting a 8 arn . Lol I have never been a fan of Buck. Golf is the only sport I watch on TV so at least I don't have to hear him that often.

They all are doing well. As someone said earlier Strange, Azinger, and Faxon are very good. Buck better than last year and knows he isn't an expert. That's what you want in a play by play guy and feeds the right questions to the experts. I think most of the Buck hate must be Cub fans....Teeheeheehee. snicker snicker

Buck's overall d-bagginess still irritates me, but overall I like the coverage a lot. Not everything has to be CBS or NBC -- it's fun to have something different. And I appreciate the long coverage on the big OTA Fox, too.

 

As for Holly -- I'm not a "girl next door" kind of guy. I usually like the tan and curves and all that. But my god, she's just ridiculously over the top anymore. It's actually kind of uncomfortable seeing someone try too hard like that.

Could somebody at Fox please turn down the volume coming from the blimp?! It's so distracting and annoying.

Also, Darren Clarke has trouble putting sentences together, mumbles, and generally struggles speaking on-the-fly. He seems like a great guy and everything but geez, give him some production training before you put him on TV.

On a more positive note, it's good to get a break from "Hello friends". (At second glance, I guess that wasn't very positive.)

I like the tech. I like the slow-mo. Commentary is just fine, but I often just focus on the golf.

Amanda Balionis is far better at her job than Holly. Looks like Holly got plastic surgery and now she's a caricature of herself. I'm actually a fan of Buck. Azinger is what Fox needed, but Dennis Paulson on Sirius XM is far better than any on-course commentator Fox has. They should get him next year.

Between Dan Hicks blathering on about who knows what, Johnny Miller essentially saying every player but Tiger sucks, and NBC wasting 20 minutes an hour with that abhorrent music and pre-produced Jimmy Roberts garbage pieces...it was beyond time to move on.

 

Fox uses gadgets...cool camera angles...better on course coverage. Zinger is 100x better than Miller.

 

I can actually watch the US Open now.

I love protracer, but I've noticed several times where it shows the end of the tracer in the fairway only to have the ball land in the rough.

 

Otherwise, 9 hours of coverage each on Saturday and Sunday? Yes, please!

Holly looks like something you'd buy rather than court. Sadly she looked so much better only a few short years ago. She's aged 15 in the last 3.

Sorry, but an unknown playing well doesn't move the needle nearly as much as a well known playing poorly.
