As long as it's not during the golfer's swing what's the big deal? These guys are paid tons of money to play a game we pay to play they can handle it. The rest of you need to lighten up and stop being so uptight. It's just a game have some fun.

 

I see your point but the real reason people shout out stupid stuff is to make it about them. Maybe they didn't get enough attention from Mom and Dad growing up or maybe they are just slow in emotional / intellectual development.

 

Either way, it's just another idiot trying to make themselves relevant on someone else's effort (i.e. the tour pro) while the rest of us are forced to listen to their cry for attention. These are the same people who think loud mufflers make them "cool".

People aren't advocating violence in a satirical manner not literal. However those yelling nonsensical phrases are typically intoxicated and boorish behaving jerks that should be removed.

I've never known boorish or obnoxious and loud behavior to be satirical unless I'm in a comedy club. There should be little tolerance for these jackweeds on a tour event.

I don't understand how anyone can support the silly and stupid self-absorbed behavior of some fans yelling idiotic comments while other are trying to enjoy a PGA tournament. Just because Adam Scott says it doesn't bother him is a laughable defense. He is just one golfer on the tour and clearly doesn't represent the majority, and we can't even tell if he is telling us the truth or trying to avoid the verbal onslaught if he said otherwise. People just need to have respect for others, and that should include not getting falling down drunk at a PGA events and not yelling stupid stuff that does nothing but annoy other around you.

You see HSS, the people here advocating violence and torture are just having harmless internet fun. I thought that was fairly obvious. That's way down on the scale of world problems. Talk about moving goal posts?

 

If you say so thug - personally, I dont find it fun. Hypocrisy is rarely lulz to me. But, to each their own. I'll keep calling it out, though - the culture of casual references to extreme violence is offensive to me. We can both win: you can talk about firing squads and I can keep talking about the ridiculousness of responding to an irritation with violence while proclaiming moral and maturity superiority.

 

Actually highspeed, I have not made any violent references as I too find it distasteful, but I look at it like let the boys have their fun as it is plain they are just using their hyperbole cards, and if you noticed, some of them did so to get a rise out of you. I guess kids will be kids wherever you go...
