Sadly, no - more like I drive it like Speith compared to DJ. Happily compared to my buddies, I do putt pretty well.

 

Love the sound of the evenflow, but I guess if there is no performance left on the table for me I shouldn’t bother.

the EF Black would def spin less than your aldila. feel should be nicer too honestly. it's worth a try to be quite honest. i was just bustin balls, i wasn't serious before lol

 

Yea I know. Problem is Flightscope would tell you there isn't a big diff between 2000 spin and 2700 in carry or total at these ball speeds. Trackman and the dudes I follow on youtube (gc2, gcquad) say there is a HUGE difference. So I go back and forth on if a shaft change is worth it.

 

Shaft would probably be worth it based on feel alone. Ill have to find one to hit somewhere.

 

So you know what it feels like when I play with Gio monster... AKA the ball buster.

 

13-16 launch is a bit high and the extra spin could make more difference when launch angel gets higher. The best way to tell what it would do for you is to hit one. Also, have you calculated your optimal distance base on your swing speed? It'll give you a good idea if another 10 yds is even feasible. Like I know there isn't a shaft in this world that I can hit the ball as far as Gio monster when there's 10MPH difference in speed speed, so I don't even bother trying.

How? Are there options other than the Flightscope Optimizer tool? I don't think I trust their algorithm, when compared to Trackman, etc.

It may not give you the exact numbers but it could provide a ball park. For example, my SS is 100-105 so I am content with a 260 carry.

Wonder if it will be a huge difference in between the shafts? If it is a non-handcrafted legit shaft ala the Black/Yellow/Red Hzrdus offerings in some clubs it could be nice vs the watered down t800 Hzrdus in the stock Epic.

Just less tighter tolerances. They are watered down. Hand crafted are literally hand rolled for a much higher quality and tolerance and QC.

Just be on the lookout because some of the shafts are “Made for X” and those aren’t the same as the HC ones.

After further testing the Tour AD wasn't so amazing ha ha. Was very good on the range but on the course using an actual ball (Pro V1x) just launched way to high and didn't excellerate to it's peak, just fell out the sky. Was only carrying it 5 yards further than my 3 wood.

 

Would still like to know a comparison with the Evenflow though, as above ^

It is a XR16 Tour issue with the 6.5 75 g.

Definitely more feel in the load that is feeling like a little bit more “whippy” than my last shaft. I have to get on a LM to see the numbers. I can play high and low shots with it. It seems to be nice from initial session. Only been able to hit it off the deck.

Alright it has been a while but I finally got the right combo for me and my bag! Callaway Steelhead XR 3 wood with EvenFlow Blue 6.5 75 g tipped 1/2”. It is a beast and I am able to hit off the deck, tee and on some gnarly rough!
