Filing that away for the ongoing argument about what to call it on the men's side.

 

If it's really "The Open" isn't this simply The British Open? No need for the gender distinction.

 

Whatever it's called "Wie" can all agree it's interesting to watch so far.

 

If my little friend hadn't decided 4:00 a.m. was time for a trip outside I wouldn't have gotten to enjoy it (but had to wait an hour for it to come on - really golf channel, can't show every single second of every single tournament?).

there is 7 hrs coverage every day for this event and i doubt if i can watch that much everyday..

 

will probably be in and out until i fall asleep --coverage is 6pm to 1am our time--but will probably be watching the last day in full if it's exciting..

 

i find it hard to watch michele play as everything looks awkward to me and so unnatural...

 

she's playing good though..

No more Maude LeBlanc? I see she hasn't played an event for quite some time ... and hasn't made a cut in a while either :/

 

Yeah, I texted her, she said she is just not comfortable with her swing at this moment, not to mention she told me she "twitched" her right wrist a bit on a shot and it is bothering her...also missing are Paula Reto and Katie Burnett, Paula has the game but the putter is not cooperating, she switched putters at the Kingsmill Tournament but that didn't help much, she is grinding it out hard, Katie played well on her last tournament, hope to see all of them back on tour soon...

never seen so many low scores with michele leading at -8 and so many threatening to match her.

 

the course doesn't look that easy but i guess the good weather is helping but i see so many quality shots..

Wow, totally missed that unless it transpired after I went to work. Good for her. Enjoyed Snead at 62 in the replay of the '74 PGA last night on GC. Lucky there wasn't golfwrx back then. It's 1974, 1974!, and some random announcer starts talking about how nobody had ever talked about Jack being such a good putter. I'm sure a thread would have been started over that, and rightly so.

That's unfortunate, but sometimes how these things go. I followed her for most of the back 9 in the 4th round of the 2016 Women's PGA and really liked her game, so I'll check in on her results every once in a while. Didn't expect to see her name here, but good to hear there are some other fans of hers.

Tom Abbott was suggesting that the R&A should have merged with the LGU long ago ( to give better support to this event) , but was quickly reined in by Lerner. :D

Good to see Anna Nordqvist at -4. Hopefully she will now be fit for the Solheim Cup. It's not looking like a particularly competitive team at the moment - Florentyna Parker at +4 for instance - and her presence would certainly help.

Is she actually not that good relative to the top women, or is she cracking under pressure? From the little I've actually seen her play, she seems like she should be a really good player.

Add in the extra stress of a major. She wouldn't be the only player to falter in the big ones.

Yeah I feel bad... She seemed very cheery and overall a upbeat, outgoing person when doing the bunch of course vlogs on youtube. She didn't make the cut as US Open so I never got to see her in person, but her swing looks very nice.

Carly Booth just isn't that attractive to me.Let's say there are supermodels and beer "models" who make appearances at raunchy bars frequented by frat boys. Carly looks like the latter.

 

However, at least someone finds her attractive even if it's only to oogle over and have naughty thoughts. I haven't had a date in over 2 years lol and doubt anyone is having naughty thoughts about me.
