How is any of this is evidence of "golf gods"? Guess I'm an atheist. I give all credit for this win to In Kyung. She's the one who put in all the hard work and kept believing in herself.

IK really plays super golf! All parts of her game works, the only things separating her from the Rorys and the Jordans are a foot in length and 40 pounds of muscles. The way she plays now.

Yes, they shifted the whole course by 1 for the stands. I forget if it was for 1 or 18 or both.

Michelle gives the impression that she doesn't care all that much about results. She finished five shots back here but was still beaming with self-pride in her post-round.

 

She shot a 66. I'd have been smiling and beaming with pride as well.

 

I suspect she'd love to have that double bogey, bogey finish over from her round Friday, but she played well in the final round.

IK's website has been down, so I'm going to post congrats here. Hope this win will lift spirits and maybe make the game a friend again.

 

Always had faith in IK. She's really climbed the mountain now, and her story is made. So inspiring!

Jodi shot a 64 (two better) and still seemed disappointed, like she left a few out there and missed out on a chance to win. That's a normal reaction of a competitor. Michelle has the talent to expect more out of herself than decent finishes, she is Michelle freakin Wie. Instead she is always going on about how she proud she is of herself after any good round, meanwhile she has not won a tournament in three years. Is she not good enough to play to win tournaments. Is my question to you.

So happy for IK...finally redemption from 2012...awesome!

IK's final round was somewhat reminiscent of Faldo's in the 1987 Open, right down to the conditions. She got down and ground out a great win, making some good saves and solid pars. She did what she needed to do, in spite of Jodi E-S getting close (now that was an amazing round, and it could have been even lower).

i feel michele is just trying her best to stay as positive as she can now but in the back of her mind she probably realizes she can no longer be the golfer she once was when great things were predicted for her but is still hopeful..

 

i cannot fault that attitude and i wish her the best in the future..

Very good weekend for the Piller family. Gerina qualifies for another Solheim Cup team and her husband Martin wins the Web.com event to move into the top 25 on the Web.com money list to get closer to earning back his PGA Tour card. Well done.

With a win, you're pretty much on the Tour. Their Championships are to improve position if he chooses to play them. I'm sure he will.

At least the tournament didn't turn into a yawn fest. Jodi made IKK work for it. She was moving like a freight train. I also have to give Michelle Wie props. She didn't go away and did her best impression of her younger self. That clunker second round really cost her. All that said, I 'm glad IKK got the monkey off her back and people can stop talking about that lipped out putt to win a couple years back. You can tell after that, she wasn't right.

He is only #24 on their money list. Only 10k more than #26 on list. Still some work to do.

Sadly, I'm afraid they'll never let it go. Now it'll be the ANA miss plus the RBWO win. She'd probably have to win the career grand slam to make it go away.

Ah, I hope not. I think they will have the courage to let it go, and not kneejerk bring it up when she's on camera. I know they need to fill airtime, but most seem decent folks. I'm hoping "RBWO winner" or "most wins this year so far" will take over.

 

Either way, can't control others' actions. If they bring it up, now instead of tragedy it ends triumphant. And what happened is more important than talk.

For someone who missed a 1 foot putt to win a major she seems like a killer down the stretch. She has been in contention 3 times for 3 wins!
