Carly Booth just isn't that attractive to me.Let's say there are supermodels and beer "models" who make appearances at raunchy bars frequented by frat boys. Carly looks like the latter.

However, at least someone finds her attractive even if it's only to oogle over and have naughty thoughts. I haven't had a date in over 2 years lol and doubt anyone is having naughty thoughts about me.

Never take sides against Carly, Fredo.

Good to see Anna Nordqvist at -4. Hopefully she will now be fit for the Solheim Cup. It's not looking like a particularly competitive team at the moment - Florentyna Parker at +4 for instance - and her presence would certainly help.

They mentioned that she didn't have the required amount of LET events to qualify (8 events in two years) They mentioned that she would have been fine but because of her WD at her previously scheduled event on the LET she was going to be short.

She can still get in via a captain's pick. The criteria mentioned above would have made her an automatic qualifier. Being that she is the highest ranked European, it would be sort of crazy not to pick her if she's healthy.

Looking forward to watching the second round later tonight. It was a real surprise to turn on the TV and see Laura Davies so high up the leaderboard. I hope she continues to make a run at it. I switched off the English commentary and put the Japanese one on, which was much better. Okamoto Ayako (World Golf Hall of Famer) is a great commentator, frank and incisive, and she was clearly delighted to see her old rival DLD play so well.

I'm green with envy - I only speak European languages.....

Sadly, I pretty much overwrite all my French (which was pretty limited anyway) and Latin to learn Japanese.

/Japanese was a heck of a lot easier than Latin and Ancient Greek.

Peter Alliss was a riot in the Golf Channel booth during the 1st round coverage. I hope he drops by again today.

The morning wave scores seem to be lower than the afternoon wave today, which pretty much mirrors yesterday's round. The rain and winds show up? 'Sucks having basically a 12 hour delay in watching the recorded broadcast at home.

Mo Martin sneaking up near the leader. A win by her would be quite an interesting story.

Ariya, Minjee, Lydia, Suzann, Nelly, Gerina, Karrie, Catriona, and Danielle all below the cut line, which is rather surprising. 'Looks like Jessica WD'd.

Why aren't they showing the yardage to the whole very often? I was watching this morning and they never mentioned the yardages on the second shots. I did see a couple of overhead yardages listed right before I came to work.

Is Jerry the only reporter on the course? Someone has to be out there to overhear the player and caddie discussing the yardage in order to relay it back to the production booth.

Would love to see Ha Na make a spirited run at the title. She is already missed. The LPGA is duller without her.

No samurai dance. I miss that. Probably the coolest thing I've ever seen on the LPGA, besides that 75 foot bomb from Paula Creamer.

Karen Stupples headed out on the course after some work in the booth earlier.

I thought they used the... ah crap I forget the name... It's like a surveying system. When I was at the US Open, every hole had at least 1 or 2 of these tripods set up, being run some USGA looking people. At the 18th hole I asked the guy what he was doing, and he said he was taking distances. So basically, I assumed he was triangulating player, to a known spot, to the flag, then reporting that distance back to somebody who then got it placed on TV.

I asked how far Lexi's drive was on the 18th and he said "259, and she's got about 282 to the flag, 180 to where she'll probably lay up"

Jessica is battling a hand/wrist/arm injury that I think has been nagging pretty much all year. I've seen several times on her different social media where she has been getting some type of treatment on it. Maybe she'll be healthy come Solhiem Cup.

'Probably ShotLink, or something similar. 'Not sure if the WBO uses the technology. Other than the U.S. Open, I don't believe it's used at any other LPGA tournament.

Here's a snippet from the 2018 U.S. Open Volunteer information page:

Scoring Services - Ball Position: The Ball Position committee will utilize the USGA-provided laser operated equipment to measure ball position information and data. This includes but is not limited to club selection, drive distance and distance to the hole. May require the ability to climb ladders and operate from elevated platforms. It is also preferred that all committee members have Shotlink or related field experience. Attendance at mandatory training sessions will be required in May, 2018.

Can anyone explain the cut line to me, most majors it would be say 65 and ties but that always excludes amateurs, but here there are 3 inside the cut line and they count as part of the 65.

Really want Lyd's to make the cut.

There are still players on the course. The cut line is generally projected using some top secret algorithm. There are 4 players on the course at -1. If one of them finishes one better, the cut will have 65 non-amateurs at -2 or better.

Currently their are 66 players at 2 under or better but 3 are amateurs yet the cut is still 2 under........ WTF

That just moved to 81 players at -1. It's a moving target. It's extremely unlikely it'll move to -2 at this point. Looks like Lydia is safe.....barely.
