TaylorMade M3 and M4 Drivers and Metalwoods

I'm intrigued on if the same technology will be brought to the fairway woods as what's being talked about in the drivers. Not much info out there yet regarding the fairway woods. I played a Sonartec 3 wood from 2005 for about the last 5-6 years because I couldn't find anything better than it until the 2016 M1 3 wood. I ended up in a 2017 3HL by the end of the this year but if they are able to produce an even better fairway wood in the M3 and M4 I'll be very impressed.

 

Going off what most companies do they don’t put new tech in fairways the same year as the driver, they hold it back and put it in next years fairway model.

I was skeptical on the new drivers when I first heard but I would be lying if I said I didn’t have some interest in the M3 now. Will be cool to see what ends up in the bag between the M3, F8+, and the G400!

I think it's rather amusing 95% of Tour Pros (PGA,European,and Web.com) use 9.5* heads and higher, yet 50% of wrxers MUST have 7.5*and 8.5* heads.

(A lower launching shaft,going up in flex,or lessons might be a wiser decision).

So interesting footprint of the head at 2:33 in the video, it looks super pear shaped and not the same footprint of the 2017 and 2016 models, can you imagine what a 440 will look like?? I recall someone posting a japanese taylor made brochure for 2018 and they had a pic of the 440, looked VERY small.

Pretty sure this guy was bombing 315+ with the st180 driver as well.....dude just hits it long, don’t like Taylormade, don’t buy Taylormade but this one is a contender for 2018

Not work from TM directly. He is usually first to test many clubs being in AUS. Pretty much every release in ‘17 he’s been the first or close to first to test. TM didn’t plan for Alex to be the guy, just how it works out.

Don’t dislike TM, per se’ (having a p790 vs my AP2 iron test as we speak) I just know that the R&A have the design of golf clubs sewn up tight. When all the dust settles, this will be just another driver that people wasted their hard earned on, until the next time!

Yeah go back and see how far he was hitting Epic. The "gains" in driver tech is not distance... It's tiny things like this. Maybe that heel strike doesn't slice 50 yards OB maybe it only slices 40 and stays in the park, saving you some strokes. Just a matter off is your $400 or $500 worth that to your game.
