First Callaway Rogue epic driver Reviews on YouTube

Just checked out Rick S reviewing the XR16 2 years ago and getting it 10 yards further out there than this, or the Ping g400.

Starting to sink in.....

To be fair, he made some swing changes in the last year that were supposed to increase his accuracy at the expense of a little distance.

(Still hooking it 25 yards, though.)

Driver: TaylorMade Sim2 Max - 10.5*
Fairway: Callaway Epic Max - 15*, 21*, 25*

Hybrid:  Ping G425 30*
Irons: TaylorMade Stealth 7-AW
Wedges: PXG 0311 Sugar Daddy II 56*

PXG 0311 Sugar Daddy II 62*
Putter:  Directed Force 2.1
Ball:  Callaway Chrome Soft

Yeah, he made those changes last year to hit more of a fade, which was actually pretty good, then some where in the last half of the year has gone back to hitting his over draw. I still get a laugh when he tests a driver/fairway and it is right of the centre line; he almost seems disappointed. However, in his course vlogs when he hits something straight or a slight fade, it works out better.

Rick said after one of the shots " that probably just missed the fairway." 20 some yard off line and assuming he was aiming down the middle of the fairway and he thinks a 20 yard hook just missed the fairway? WTH does he normally play?

He literally has no idea what he's talking about. "This is the very first video of these Ping G700 irons being hit" 27 minutes after Teeuplo posted his.

"I can tell I think twist face is definitely helping."

"Two awesome hits. Now need to split the difference." The difference being about 70 yards between Rogue drives.

If he hit the F8 as badly as he did the Rogue standard he would have slated it.

Poor reviewer getting worse as the goes on.

We need a Shiels review...

You are probably kidding?

Because I already posted that link:

"...and finally Rick came to the table with 2x3 shots...:

"

He hit 3 shots each, and 1 out of three shots were OK...

...now we shall wait a few weeks until he is hitting some more shots, that are hopefully OK? :WTF:

I rather watch this:

He is a far better ball striker than Rick, and also delivers the numbers and strike locations - in the same video.

That was pretty disappointing. Seems pretty clear that Shiels felt like he had to throw some Rogue content out there to keep up with other reviewers but didn’t have time to do a proper job of it.

Yes, more disappointing than Mark Crossfields Review which is really late to the table (released about an hour ago):

Nothing unexpected, except that he showed, where his partner had hit the club face, but not, where he had hit the club face - in a situation, where I would have expected him to do so.

I think I am going pass on this one. If I get a new driver this year, it will be either the M3 or the F8+. I really don't expect a major improvement, just like trying a new driver every season.

LEFT HANDED

Titleist TSR3 with Metaflex 5H shaft (currently testing the Proxima 6 stiff shaft)
Titleist TSR2 16.5 degree fwy with Ventus Red 7 stiff shaft

Srixon ZX7 mkii 5-PW with Fuji Axiom 105 stiff shafts

Titleist SM9 50F, 54D, 58T wedge with Fuji Axiom 105 stiff shafts
L.A.B. MEZZ Max putter with LAGP putter shaft

Far too many golf club reviewers on YouTube who should just pack it in.

So much crap to have to wade through.

You are not forced to wade through crap...

...and you are free to take the provided information, without expecting great entertainment at the same time.

I get more useful information by looking at the provided data - especially if people with different abilities hit, and miss hit, balls with the clubs.

The more different reviews you are able to see, the more likely you find the information, which is really important.

I don't need a great entertainer which is providing no (or unreliable) data, if I really want to know something, instead of just being entertained.

If your comment is especially directed to the last YouTuber,

then you should really watch this comparison video, which contains great information... especially if you are able to read between the lines:

A great comparison (information wise) between Trackman 4 and GC Quad (indoors).

Suited to learn some fundamentals in regard of gathering reliable data!

He swings 115mph and only gets 150 ball speed ????

*Ahhhhhh, first part of the video, its range balls.......His premium balls ( Vice Pro ) were much better numbers

Pretty disappointed that those 440 sz heads are not available somewhere. The 17' sz head was as good as anything Taylormade. Without the draw bias of sz retail, and very low spin like M1 440. It's a shame that they won't release it in some form, and was hoping to see it with this release. I may have actually played it last year, if not for the fact that if I cracked it, there was no way I was going to be able to get a 2nd head.

This good fellow swaps the shaft after every hit in his Rogue vs. Epic test:

...which leads to an excellent outcome!
