those wedges are available retail in Japan, but I think they are like $1k a piece, they are indeed milled from a single ingot

Soft feeling on sweet spot hits and forgiving on mishits. My kid was a die hard Titleist fan, until he hit these!

Arguably the best overall forged Player’s CB.

 

- VR Forged, 545s, MP-53s, and MX-200s are all very good forged irons, and even more forgiving...however they don’t hold a candle to the J15s in terms of feel, and playability.

 

I absolutely LOVE Kuch’s Black Oxide J15 CBs.

 

 

On a separate note, Only 3* of bounce in that Vokey K Grind.

There is very little bounce on his 60. Appears to be 3* of bounce. Extremely low, is that so he has full ability to open club up as much as he wants? You’d think he’d be laying sod over the ball with that little bounce.

 

Not exactly. This wedge will have little bounce on square faced shots around the green and out of the fairway/rough, but since it has a wider sole it will play with more bounce when the club is opened up. The difference between this wedge and a stock low-bounce K is that Brandt's appears to have some trailing edge relief that has added more camber to the sole. That will reduce the amount of bounce that it plays with when opened up.

I love that he's won so much with a putter that 99% of us (myself included) wouldn't look twice at on the BST - sticks with what works! It was probably hard for him to track down a replacement when his old one broke. Same goes for Stenson's 3 wood.

Really good looking irons. We ran all the new Bridgestone stuff through the paces about a year back. Wonderful feeling irons. Fit and finish is second to none and they feel soft yet crisp on even the slightest mishit. That sounds like a bad thing, but it's not. You don't lose a lot missing it by a shade but you really get the feedback of knowing it wasn't flush. I wouldn't hesitate to game a set of Bridgestone irons. Really really nice products.

Hard to locate these in my area or find information. I've heard that these are longer (heel to toe) than most irons. Similar in size to Srixon 765. Is that true or it pretty much similar to standard player irons (like Mizuno MP 18 series)?
