I'll start...this course looks terrible. I would not pay to play on it.

 

Not playing one of the most storied and best courses in the world because of a color is baffling to me. I guess more tee times for golfers

That should have been a driving iron tee shot. If he has 20 more yards off the tee he could have easily taken that line

Worst possible outcome -- be the most conservative guy out there and still hit it in the bunker. Cannot allow that to happen with this strategy.

I was wondering if that might be part of his thought process. You could probably effectively take yourself out of it today by getting over aggressive, but he’s pretty much keeping himself safe early. Make the cut first of all, then aggressive on the weekend?

seems like it wouldn't be a bad idea. keep level day 1...learn from it, go aggressive more on certain holes tomorrow, re-evaluate, repeat.

That OB isn't realistically in play for the best players in the world. You can miss the green a yard left and go OB at 18 at Carnoustie with these conditions. Feels very contrived.
