I talked to Kim today at PXG I’m almost ready to pull the trigger she told me 2 weeks delivered to my door. I have a shaft dilemma CTaper lites or projectx LZs. Any thoughts??

My set arrived today. 0311 with C-taper lites ( a shaft I've used for years, works for me), and 2 0311 wedges with KBS Hi-Rev 2.0. Did not get a chance to hit them because of the constant rain here. However, they were packaged as good as any set of clubs I've ever ordered.

 

One negative, I absolutely hate the stock PXG grip. They will be getting swapped out soon. Will update after hitting.

2 weeks; granted the delivery charges are the highest in the industry, TM and Callaway will do 2 day for around $20; PXG was $125 for 2 day, $60 ground.

You have stated this several times now, but I would like to see your math.

 

The math is easy to do and DoD has a calculator to convert military pay, with the tax advantages, to civilian pay and calculates Total Regular Military Compensation: https://militarypay.defense.gov/calculators/rmc-calculator/

 

By my math, a single E-5 living in a high cost housing area, such as Fort Meade, MD (20755) would make $64,261.08 a year or the civilian equivalent of $67,909.17, far from $100,000. See below for the math:

 

Base pay: $3,125.70 (E-5 over 8 years)

Housing (BAH): $1,860

BAS: $369.39

 

Total: $5,355.09 per month / $64,261.08 per year

 

There may be some outlier scenario with a married E-5 with lots of years of service receiving some special pays or bonuses, but your average E-5 with 6 to 12 years of service is not making anywhere near $100,000.

nah. happy for anyone to get anything. Just not going to not call this what it is. Just b/c he's a marine doesn't mean he's not a capitalist.

 

good on military for getting the discount, but it's also a way to dump old stock without really discounting it, which would damage his lux branding that includes premium pricing. may even sell a few new sets to non-vets who find his efforts noble enough to deserve their money. which is the ultimate goal, really.
