This is more complete, but it requires reading.

I cleared out 3 pairs of golf shoes recently, so I needed to reload a couple pairs.

I've wanted a pair of the Nike Tour Premiere ever since they came out, and finally decided to pull the trigger on a pair. I was having a hard time deciding, but ended up going with the Shamu colorway.

whiteblack-f.jpg

If I really end up liking them, I may look at grabbing the all white pair as well. I probably need want one more pair of shoes to have in the rotation.

It just dawned on me what that tongue cover reminded me of. When the War Boys capture Max Rockatansky. . .

I usually like when words and phrases from sub cultures and occupations enter the popular lexicon, but if I ever use the expression, "color way", you can give me a ranch enema.

Exactly. It's a color scheme, period! Colors "scheme" together to beckon and entice us into stupidity. Color way? You can give me a Habanero enema if you ever catch me using that expression!

The hit or miss weather so far this winter has been good for me. I'm fine if it keeps on going right into early-mid March.

I haven't skipped a beat getting into a good routine exercising. I'm not hitting the gym getting Buff Bagwell like ole Tex, but I'm feeling better. Hopefully it will help me keep the wispy joints a little more stable.

I also haven't been blowing PTO to skip out of work early and slog around muddy courses, so that should ease the pressure on my schedule during the nice weather months.

And it would be remiss of me to not have at least one ailment. I sprained my big toe like 3 weeks ago. I can still exercise. It's just walking and anything that makes the toe bend upwards that hurts. It's getting better. Certainly the weather being trash so I'm not tempted to go out and golf has helped.

FABB is getting 0 turf valley invites wearing those. what's a bigger abomination those shoes or ranch on buffalo wings??

As if we ever play golf together anyways. I'll just ask City to have me out. If he shuts me down, I'll turn to the Korean ladies. We already bond over wide-brim visors, so I'm sure they'll love my Shamu Shoes as well.

I have about 5 pairs of shoes in my car trunk right now, and it's starting to be a point of family contention. I could throw a bunch out and buy new ones and it'd be a win/win.

I had all my muddy, crudded up shoes in a pile right outside the garage door. Throwing away 3 of the pairs, and leaving just a few neatly placed pairs was absolutely a good way to soften the blow of the incoming pair.

sometimes one's "recently viewed" items list on eBay is funny. . .bucket hats and Bobby Grace.

But, you gotta check out that Bobby Grace putter. There's like a piece of lucite (or something) for the sightline that redirects the light ONTO the ball. Read the description in the link.

That's kinda cool, reminds me a lot of fiber optic gun sights. You can buy the FO strips and mess with them for pretty cheap.

I'm really interested in the FJ Fury that just came out. Not sure whether I'd want to go white (my usual shoe color), navy or grey. Before they see the course I'm going to do this Scotchgard thing eagle always mentions.

The Pro SLs are wearing down and basically are my mudder shoes now. No plans to walk in Dryjoy Tours (too heavy) and my Biom Hybrids are an okay range shoe, but don't have enough arch support.

Definitely like the look of those. If I hadn't already ordered the AirMax1Gs, probably would have looked at those.

I cleaned up 4 old pairs and sent them off to Goodwill at the end of the year. Guy that works there said they take/sell anything including old golf shoes.

I showed some of you guys already, but these were my shoes before and after a shine job last night. These were the shoes I went in the mud with.

I went with the brown-brown colorway.

My room at the resort that shall not be named is 50 yards from the driving range and short game area. Went out this morning and hit pitches to a target and rotating the 4 clubs I use around the green on each shot(8i/pw/54/58). I'm not playing today so will head back out this afternoon. This trip will satisfy the golf craving for another month. Played well yesterday. 81(esc. We were playing through on an island green and I hit one in the water and just picked up).

It's hot down here. 80 and humid.

Domes, so jelly. For work I've traveled to a single decent place over the last 10 years. Was in San Diego and extended my trip to play Torrey Pines. Otherwise I've been to the middle of nowhere PA, LA (not the city), AL, FL and WV. I need to find a job with better travel arrangements.

City - what was your process and what did you use to clean those up? They look great.

Wiped them off with a damp cloth, then I went at them with brown shoe polish and a horse hair brush.

I did another pair, too. I was reminded, while cleaning them, how nice those older models were. It's such nice leather, and there is that extra bit of material where the tongue connects to the uppers. I still have one pair that are about 4 years old and have never been worn.

The 97 Masters was just on TV. 2005 is next.

I've seen it plenty of times, but one thing I'm noticing is how beat up the greens are from spike marks. The movement away from metal spikes has done wonders. The pros today would be irate about putting on those greens. Billy Horschel would have an aneurysm after the 2nd putt he missed because of it.

Well now you can tap down spike marks, right? And I daresay that certain modern soft spike shoes (like certain ones from Adidas) absolutely destroy soft (and really only soft) greens and leave deep, jagged disc-shaped craters in certain greens. Far, far worse than the old flat soled shoes with sharp metal spikes. They would pull up spike marks, but that's it.

I love the hybrid soles. At least they leave a relatively uniform "pattern" on soft greens and nothing on firm ones.
