TXG releases their G410 driver fitting with Matt tomorrow morning. Looking forward to that.

+1 this will be interesting. Can't wait to see if it out performs his g400 he crushing the other day in the aftermarket shaft test.

Call me a fanboy, but to be fair, they did say they needed to at least test the 9* head (and the LST version if it does come out) and optimize the shaft to get the spin down (1900 G400 LST vs 2600 G410). The ball speed was higher w/ the G410 (178 vs. 176.3) They compared his gamer G400 10* LST w/ TPT 15 shaft to the G410 10.5* w/ Tensei Orange 60X (non pro) stock shaft.

They also didn't really comment on performance for non-centered strikes, which Matty said he was looking for.

They said they did get a quick glimpse of the LST at some point so hopefully it's coming soon.

Didn't someone from Ping say they weren't making a 410 LST cause they couldn't make it better than the 400 LST?

Seems like we've heard both. I want to say Crossfield was the one who mentioned in a video no LST at this time, and thought I had read that as well. If TXG had seen it at the PGA show then it wouldn't make much sense to have a prototype head with you if they weren't planning on releasing it at some point.

That's the reason the LST is coming later than the G410 Plus and SFT, but it is coming. Just took longer to improve it over the 400 LST.

Got a chance to hit mine earlier, and I'm impressed with it after about 20 swings. I'm going to play with it for a while but cursory testing seems to indicate that the best setting for me is Flat, -1* loft, weight in the heel.

Excited to get a chance with it on the course compared to my G400 LST and see how it stacks up 1-on-1

I agree. Seems odd they would have a lower lofted head for him to hit. That makes a big difference. And they were using a stock shaft.

I bet it will be as long but maybe not longer.

Any idea if different size weights will be available? I was able to switch out the copper weight in the G400 lst to get sw back up since I play my driver at 44”. Hoping Ping will offer heavier weights so I could do the same or some lighter weights to add to the other weight ports. I am not against using 2-3 weights to get the sw to D5.

Eric, in your testing did setting it to the flatter lie do much to reduce the closed look if changing loft a + setting? Though any change probably would be more obvious on fairways or hybrids methinks.

I had about 30 min with one on a launch monitor. Tried several settings - ended up liking flat, standard loft, with weight in the heel. Strange, cause I fight a hook. The flat settings still make the club look pretty toe up to my eye.

Cant wait to get more info on the LST version. I'm thinking it may be less than 455cc.

To my eye, yes the flatter setting did seem to make the face sit more open than std setting. Overall though I feel like the 410 sits more neutral than previous Ping drivers which always looked a tad closer to me.

LST 3 wood looks insane, I hit it a little bit last week but didn't pay too much attention to numbers as i didn't have much time and was in work clothes. It has an interesting shape that would take a second to get used to.

I hit the G410 Plus with the Tensei Orange 60x today, and this thing is really good. I've needed the LST version to be able to get spin where I need it with Ping drivers in the past, but looking at the ball flight, the G410 Plus looks like it spins low enough for me to play it. It's REALLY straight, too.

. Have an order in for that setup it’s awesome give the three wood a try in the same setup it’s just as good.

It’s not even what I would think would be a great shaft for me (too light, too high launch), but it still performed really well.

I hit the 9 degree at a demo day in Palm Springs two weeks ago. I wanted to like the Tensei Orange but everything just went dead left. No hook just a straight pull.

The Ping Tour 65 stiff is what I play in my G400 and it was much better but the Evenflow Black 75 was even better yet.

Wasn't on a launch monitor but it was visually easy to see that it was longer by at least a few yards, seemed easier to hit and the trajectory was near perfect.

Needless to say I ordered one the same day and was told yesterday that it would ship 5 March.

Hard to believe that it will be remarkably better than the 400 but, hey - it's what I do!

Vernon, you had a normal G400?

Reason I ask is that I am interested in swapping from my Max but heard difference is very little.

Yep, I had the regular 445 cc version.

I never hit the Max but I kinda liked the look of the slightly larger head. In fact, that was a definite factor in my decision to swap for the 410 Plus.

Well, that and the fact that I'm a gullible fool but, that aside, I really did prefer the look of the 410 Plus at address over the 400 and thought the sound/feel was slightly better too.

I kind of doubt that there's a whole lot of objective reasons to make the switch but, then again, objectivity seldom enters into my decisions when buying golf stuff so there's that......

That's awesome—I thought it took awhile after release for the adapters to be available with previous versions.

Edit: Though it does look like these won't actually be available to ship until April...
