What are modern lofts? Is there a link to the specifications?

 

I have 6-P modern lofts, matched back to my MMC/MB combo (28-32-36-41-45).

 

I think they had something on the app.

For the 919 Tours - -2 degrees 3-8, -1 on the 9i, same on PW.

yes my 2 degree stronger 4 iron and 1 degree stronger 5 iron you can see where they clamped it.

Txg did a comparison between the mp18 and the 919t

 

 

 

Took a look. Owned both. Wasn't surprised at the results, at all. I do, however, wish that I could get my MP18s to have the JPX finish. That would be my ideal blend of both worlds but, I am glad that I am using the 919T. They are quite fun.

 

It would be so nice if more companies had different finish options available.

What driving irons are you guys playing with the 919.. I think I have the MP18 MMC Fli Hi on order with the shaft matching the set. It was good in the LM, but I don't know a ton about Mizuno's latest stuff.. anything better?

I hit the 919 tour in the store today. They felt great, but it's impossible for me to tell much more than feel in the store.

 

I'm currently hitting Fly Z Pro MBs. I don't play as much as I used to so my ball striking isn't quite as solid. I've tried other game improvement irons, but I can't stand the feel and bulkiness of everything I've hit.

 

That's what I really like about the 919 Tours. They are visually pleasing and seemed pretty forgiving for me. I haven't found the MPF on them yet.

 

Can anyone comment on forgiveness vs the Fly Z Pro MB? TIA.

Love these irons. They helped me get an unused set of 900tours for cheap!

 

I'm hoping to do the same thing!

 

2 range sessions and 1 round of golf...the 900t are very good. I don't like the s300 amt shafts. Pretty much knew I wouldn't. Have a set of c-tapers going in tomorrow.

 

The heads are forgiving. 187 par 3. Normal 6 iron for me. Hit it very too side and it still carries right at 180 with no side spin.

 

Out of curiosity......what don't you like about the AMT shafts? Too light as you get to your longer irons??? Thx.

 

I hate them for that very reason. I like consistent feel throughout the set. Amt doesn’t feel consistent.... too light in the long clubs.

 

After hitting the ctapers, your post is spot on. I thought the idea of lighter long iron shafts was a good one. Maybe over time I could get used to the different weight. The constant weight of the ctapers (or non amt dg shafts) just feel a lot better.

I ordered 5-9 in the JPX 919 Tours yesterday. I decided to add a gap wedge and went with vokeys 46-60. (part of it was I didn't particularly like the shape of the PW all that much) Mizuno's shaft optimizer told me to try x100, px 6.5, and another few shafts. their 5th option was modus 120x and that was by far what I liked and hit best so went with those.

 

i'm hoping to get them in a week or so.

I was about to do the same. Was looking to get a T7 46* and have actually like the PW. Have my old VR Forged 48 if needed.

I'm torn. I've been with Mizuno forever (as evident by my screen name). After a year of no golf I recently started playing again and decided to update my MP64s. I tried the MP18SC and MMC, 900/919T and F, and the Srixon Z785. I preferred the MP18SC's the 919T, and the Z785s. My local dealer will give me a pretty good deal on the Srixon's, so that's where I'm likely headed. I honestly don't know if I've ever had a Non-Mizuno iron over the past 10 years. Seems like I played the original AP2s for a while in 2008 but that's it. I may end up with SCs if I can get a good deal on some just for sentimental reasons haha.
