Mizuno 2019

Recommended Posts

Really looking forward to seeing the driver in person and seeing how it stacks up against the others.

The only category it doesnt stack up in against Cally, TM etc is marketing. Tried both models in november and they are legit contenders for driver of the year. Add in a great line of shafts at no upcharge and this should be a must try for any serious buyer

Unfortunately for me the ST190G won't be available in lefty ......I love fine tuning

Anybody know when the s18 replacement will be announced? I don’t remember when they were released. Just bought a set of T7s now that they’re on sale as replacements for my old T11’s but after hitting only the gap wedge I’m thinking the s18 shape is more appealing to me now, and wondering when I can expect the price to drop on the s18s.

I have been really disappointed in Mizuno over the last 2 years. The feel of their irons have diminished greatly IMO. Well, also, it could just be my ball striking.

It’s your ball striking.

3 Wood: Cobra King Speedzone/HZRDUS Smoke Yellow 70

5 Wood: Callaway Mavrik Subzero/Aldila Rogue White 70

Short Irons (7-P): Wilson Staff Model Blade/DG120TI

Wedges (50/54/58): Callaway Jaws MD5 w/TI S200
Putter: Original Odyssey White Hot XG No. 7
Ball: Titleist Left Dash

I hit the HM Pro today.

look to fall between HM and Forged. The blade length and offset looked similar to 919F, but a tiny bit chunkier, could see back of club on 5 iron at address, and feel was just ok (IMO), so out as a 5 iron for my set. I hit the 919F 5 iron and loved it, may get one. The rep said he would have the JPX Fli-Hi in hand next week, said he thought it would be offered in 3-7. I will wait to see it, but a 919F 5 iron will probably go in my bag.

I hit the diver also, it was solid, but nothing I got excited about. I think I am done chasing drivers for a while.

Finally! So was the loft the same as the HM or the forged?

I am not making any comments about the knowledge of the people there, other than we know as much or more than they do. No info on lofts.....lol.

The just had a full set siting in a bag, and the guy said just hit anything you want.

This was a Golf Expo in Iowa, was shocked to see all of the new stuff.

The TM guy was guarding the M5/M6 like it was gold, head covers on everything, had to stand in line to see it, laughed and walked.

Maybe it's a bad assumption as the 180 adjustable wasn't .....the jpx900 still one of the best ever besides the feel n color

What do you mean replacement :taunt: .

Those wedges are fantastic in my small book.

I almost went to that. I’m actually trying not to get fitted for the 919 forged as my VPC’s are still mint and work just fine. But I do love Mizzy irons

We played yesterday, had a time at Jester today, but cancelled with that damn wind.

The show was kinda cheesy, Iowa style, but at least got to hit and see some new stuff.

Epic Flash SZ head looked amazing, but not sure about that sound....

I really liked the 919F 5 iron I tested. I sold my MP18 combo, so need a 5 iron to go with the 919T

I have lost some of my desire for a new driver at the moment as well. All of the new releases coming out at the moment with all of the promises of speed and yards gained always tempers my enthusiasm. I will wait for a while on this one. Do you know if Mizuno is coming out with a new hybrid line or will the CLK be the only one they offer?

From what I was told, T-20 coming in september along with MP-20 irons. S-18 stays until next JPX release or maybe next spring

Epic since release.

I will say this, like it better than the Flash SZ for sound and feel inside. I did have a bit of an awkward set up, tee was way too high for me. I will demo it outside in the spring, but the footprint seemed kinda large after hitting the Flash SZ.

Man oh man these st190's are sexy. Mizuno gettin' my money this year off looks alone!

Yea from the pictures these look great. Should be even better in person.

I got to see and hit new drivers in November and they look awesome. The feel off the face and the sound is a very hot and powerful thud. For those who dont like a tinny sounding driver this club is for you.

Did you get to see the fairway woods? I'm really hoping the fairway woods are great, but also hope they aren't too big. Mizuno has been known the last few years to put out some pretty big cc fairway woods.

Really like the looks and write up today on ST190 and 190G on WRX today. Very polished and goodlooking club. This club has me more interested than any out right now. Wanted to try the F9 but don't think it will be any variance on what I currently play. I agree the 399 price point is spot on but I like the 190G and will try that after the thaw... Well done and great write up on these new products. Think they may have a winner...and thank you for getting away from the blue....
