Since TM hasn't posted on the topic yet, you can be assured it's different metal.

For what it's worth the limited edition Titleist 680 irons are made from 1025.

[https://titleist.com/golf-clubs/irons/forged-680](https://www.titleist.com/golf-clubs/irons/forged-680 "https://titleist.com/golf-clubs/irons/forged-680")

Just hoping they are from Endo/Japan. For 2K it should be made by Endo!!!

That at least gives us some hope....

For 2K they better be the same steel/forging Tiger is playing. If not, then I agree with @cota0429, that they’re overpriced by $500.

Good luck. Any question I’ve asked has been ignored. Just sleep announcements. Although. Once they did ask if anyone had any questions. Lol which was a nice touch after I had asked several with no response.

I get it though. I’m negative towards their releases and style. So ignoring me seems like the thing to do. Yet. I’ve proven that if it performs I’ll use it ( m6 ,m1 ,spider x , tp5x ball etc ). So is it smart to ignore a guy who prefers a blade and might buy a set of these on the spot ?

IMO Titleist irons, ALL of them feel rather clicky... No where near the softness of Bridgestone, Srixon (Endo) or Mizuno forging. Not bad irons, they perform well and have a crispness to them...just not remotely close to the feel of my old Nike VR Splits, 745s, or my current J15CB ( best feeling and most forgiving CB on the PLANET).

As I said in my two most recent posts, $2k is way too much for a replica using inferior materials... Straight up. Switch in the same softer higher quality metal he personally uses, now you're talking a different game when adding that higher quality to his specs, (blade length, head weight, loft, lie, grip, etc.). That is pushing the price limit but could merit the $2K pricetag.

Still waiting on answer about using a separate steel in this release. Was hoping your account wouldn’t disappear like it did when M5s were breaking on release. But you’ve gone Casper on us once more. Most of us golf/equip enthusiasts here are just looking for your reasoning why? Give us something and we’ll quickly move on...

This releases feels like many have in the past, you tick off nearly all the check boxes but miss one crucial element. Recreate a tour putter, but put a different neck. Recreate a tour fairway, make it really upright and closed. And here we are to a new level, recreate the most hyped iron release in years but use a different forging. Ugh y’all were so close!

I would like someone here, well versed in metallurgy, tell me the **playability** difference between 1018, 1020 and 1025 carbon steel. I'll bet it is next to zero from a spin and feel perspective.

Since Tiger is currently playing a final prototype of the iron that was made in a 1018C (1025C and 1018C are virtually the same steel, especially from a head design stand point. The hardness between these two steels is more important from a feel standpoint, and they share the same hardness at 71 HRB), we finalized and went to full production of the P•7TW at 1025C. As you are well aware, Tiger refreshes his irons a few times per season and we expect him to play 1025C in future iterations of the P•7TW.

Thank You TM. I had these on order for a few days now. Can't wait to get them.

Notice still no answer on who forged them (Tigers or these offerings). I was told recently by 2 different OEM designers that Endo is not being used as much as in the past (when they were producing heads for 70+% of the industry). The reason they gave was improved (now equivalent) quality at competitors and cost...

Don’t know what good asking for chemical compositions of steels would do. Hot Rolled, Cold Rolled, content of Carbon, Manganese, Sulfur, Phosphorus. Physical characteristics tensile strength, yield strength, elongation. Those numbers are readily obtainable for all carbon steels used in club manufacturing, but without a metallurgical degree would be meaningless..

Thanks TM makes me feel a little better. Any time frame on when we’ll be able to order them with his same lofts?

There is really not much difference between 1025 and 1018 for those that are wondering. Almost the same in all areas.
