Just an FYI for anyone wanting to check these out in person, they appear to be carrying them in store now - not sure if due to returns or otherwise. They have a block of them near the door at the Raleigh, NC store - various colors and styles.

 

Going after work to see if they have the 14 way's in store

I got the black/black 14 way stand bag...and this thing is bad@ss. So many logical storage compartments that actually make sense.

 

I also had no idea it was semi-waterproof.

I also had no idea it was semi-waterproof.

 

The dividers in some of the pockets is a real nice touch, one of my favorite things about it. Otherwise all the stuff just settles at the bottom of the pocket in a big jumbled mess

I may have to order another, this time the storm match play. Not sure the 14-way is my favorite way to pull clubs after 2 rounds with it. Might re arrange the clubs and see if it gets better

What are the main differences between the speedaround and storm match play?

 

You can see generally from the descriptions--Speedround lighter than the Match Play; 9 pockets vs 11 pockets; different strap systems. I have the Match Play, and while I have not seen or held the Speedround, I would expect it to be similar, albeit lighter, and a few lesser features. If one does not need the super-light aspect of the Speedround, JMHO that it would likely make sense to go with the Match Play.

 

Separately, on the topic of the 14-way--I purchased one during this sale, but ended up returning it. Mind you, it seems like a fantastic bag. For better or worse, it is a substantial bag. It is big, and it is heavy, relatively speaking. And in my case, where I play a lot of caddie golf, I was worried about the weight for the caddies. Also, I was skeptical of the caddies maintaining any semblance of organization with the 14 dividers (for example, say I pull three clubs to go to my ball while the caddie goes with its other player, and I hand him the three clubs afterwards--the clubs likely ain't going where they are supposed to). The caddies can hardly keep track of my organization of 4-way dividers.

 

Anyway, just a little perspective on the 14-way. It's an outstanding bag at $100 if it fits your wants/needs.
