Just got my set fitted with Modus 105s bent 1* weak. Coming from a set of Titleist 695CB's w/ 6.0's the 785's feel unbelievable. Went with a much lighter easier to load shaft because I am working on slowing down my tempo this year and making better center contact. This set-up is so smooth and zero loss of distance with being bent weal, just gained better trajectory and spin across the board. Amazing set of irons Srixon has here!

I have only played twice with my set and have only noticed one instance where the ball rolled out more than I was used to, however it was downwind and a firm green so I consider it more the conditions. The set I am playing have modus 120x and i play a prov1x ball. I'll see what happens as i play more but hopefully the spin issue and holding greens remains nonexistent for me.

Modus 125 and I had switched between a few balls as well. I got a fitting and I was consistently spinning my Callaway/Px setup 1200+ rpm more with really tight dispersion.

I loved the way the 785 felt and looked, but I may have had to bent them extra weak and I did not want to add more bounce than they already had.

I think as a generality, they are better for slightly faster players who have no problem with height. The slightly lower spin helps me on course. Fitting is key. That said I'm selling a set with faces that look like they've never been used with Modus 120x if anyone is interested. I'm in a 945/745 combo I can't quit.

Srixon makes some of the best irons on the market. I had the 785’s and loved them. Ball flight was a little low but could have been corrected with a different shaft. I moved to the Z-Forged and they are the best blades I have ever owned. Ball flight with the same shaft is a little higher and they are just as forgiving as the 785’s.

Just ordered 5 (585) - 6/PW (785) with PX LZ 5.5 HSx1, although it was not available but PXLZ 6.0 was the best fit among all the shafts hit (Modus 105/120, 950GH, KBS Tour, PX, Recoil) and decided to go 5.5 HS to add a touch of spin. I am not too concern about that but it is true that these clubs are lower spin compared to similar models I tried (T100, MMC, i210, P760...)

I echo that I haven’t had issues even out of the rough with holding greens. I am a fast swing speed with 6 iron being around 98. I find it so much easier to control spin than the previous Ap2 set I had. I hit a 218 yard 4 iron into a green that was within 6 inches of the ball mark. I’ve also had to control the spin as I’ve had a PW zip back too far and I have to try to dial it back. Overall, find what works as no two swings are the same.

I have been playing 785s since July 2019. Caveat. I play 785s from 7i to PW and 585s from 4i to 6i. All are fitted with Modus 105 Stiff.

First impression? 785s are surprisingly forgiving. I did bend 7i to 9i one degree weak and 2 degrees flat. PW is standard at 46 degrees. Reason was to get more height and add some spin. I also bent the 5i one degree weak and 6i 2 degrees weak to blend the gapping better with the 785s. 4i is standard at 22 degrees.

I would agree that in general, the 785s are more low spin in comparison to similar irons. They tend to produce a more piercing flight. But with weaker lofts and playing a high spin ball, I am getting good results. Being a high spin player, the 785s for me are a great set of irons. Workable, great turf interaction, feel great, and are forgiving and long in their category.

Srixon offers many shaft options at no up charge. Would not hesitate to recommend the lineup.

Went for my very first ever iron fitting on Trackman about 3 weeks ago. Played a set of i210’s last year with PXLZ’s and had some ballooning issues-a rate issue for me. Got to try the Mizuno Shaft optimizer and it gave me some surprising results. I’ve always played stiff flex but over the last year I’ve lost some weight and been working out. Must have gained some speed too because the 3 shafts it recommended for me were PX 6.5, LZ 6.5 and C Tapers. Loved PXso was thinking that was gonna be the shaft but the LZ with this head gave me better dispersion and higher flight with equal distance. Loved the feel and they look amazing so pulled the trigger. Set arrived Friday and man these feel sweet just holding them. Sadly we got 8” of snow today so my On course Test will be delayed but I’m pretty pumped to get these out on the Course. Goth them 2° upright, 1/4” ling with standard lofts, 5-GW. The GW looks amazing!

That gap wedge looks great! I’m a huge fan of these irons (see comments earlier in the thread). Went away from them at the end of last year for reasons unrelated to golf, and have gone through several sets to start this year (AP2, CB57, I 210, g410). Nothing is close, IMO. Have another set inbound and an excited to have them back in the bag.
