Tiger’s swingspeed is dropping significantly. 167 mph and can’t find a fairway (1/10 so far). At least he isn’t walking like the back is stiff like he was before the Wells Fargo. Taking 4 weeks off doesn’t help stay tournament sharp, but may be necessary sometimes to save the back. As the articles have said nobody knows how long the fusion will last as an elite golfer. Hopefully for quality of spending time with kids he puts health before golf..

I think we are seeing the new (and final) Tiger era. He can’t play in every tournament; not even play in more than two a month, because of his back. But if you don’t play tournament golf, you can’t win tournament golf. I’d think he would even tell you that. It is what it is. He will have to have those perfect weeks (like at East Lake and Augusta) but I also think we will see a lot of MCs going forward.

After I won The Masters, I finished in the top 5 in the next Major, without much issue. He needs to sort things out. I think playing a bit more would help.
