Don't know that I've ever seen a 36" on eBay; so you are likely going to have to have one with the right lie angle for you to come up and have them re-shaft/re-weight it for you, or save your $ and order a new one to your spec. Good luck in your quest.

Thanks! Even if I were to buy one on eBay, I'd want to try it out first... I really like the story and idea behind the putter, but if it doesn't work for me, I don't want to spend the cash!

Unfortunately, there isn't anyone near me with a putter... LAB has been helpful in finding someone, just need to make a call and align schedules.

Hey everyone,

A break from your regularly scheduled Sam Hahn posts to share some exciting L.A.B. company news. B.2 is officially in stock and ready to be built in Stainless and Brass. https://labgolf.com/b-2/

To us, B.2 feels like surfing on rainbows and frolicking with puppies in a golden meadow. And while we can’t promise a general sense of immortality over 4-footers, those are the notes we’re currently tasting.

Post your questions here and we'll get Sam to come on and answer them as soon as he can.

I highly recommend the B.2 if you're a blade player. I've played a lot of rounds with mine and it's been phenomenal. LAB may disagree but I saw little difference in performance vs the 2.1. My results actually improved with the B.2. The roll and feel are unlike (in a great way) any other putter I've played.

  • 2 weeks later...

I got mine this week. My brother got me it for Christmas. It is a 33" 74* Red head with the Stability Tour Shaft. It took some getting use to but after setting up slightly closer to the ball, this thing is money. My previous DF (a 2.0) was good but i was never a fan of the OG press grip or the standard alignment lines.

The red head with the tri-line and superstroke-esque press grip is outstanding. Plus they figured out how to make the face more responsive and less marshmallow like.

Great work on improving this guys.

No, I think the stability shaft is 200, the stability tour is 235. It really does help on lag putts from what I’ve seen. But I’m not sure how much better it is over a x-stiff regular shaft...

I can get a better one of the shaft tomorrow when I get back. Practicing with it while in the office has really ingrained a good stroke. Plus our office carpet runs at a 10 stimp which makes for good practice. I have no data on it but I really like how it feels on 30-40 ft lag putts

Nice, and TY for the photo. How about a pic with it in the bag with headcover on? I’m curious to see how much room it takes....

I see that at least two of the ‘18 TwistFace Kingdom crew now have the DF in the bag. I’m wondering if the DF would be compatible with my Seemore dot grooved putter swing?

The arm-locks are solid. A lot of people think its a double whammy of consistency. My opinion is that if you already use arm-lock, it'll be better than what you have. If you don't already use arm-lock, try the standard first. Nobody goes to AL to help with speed. Its usually about controlling the face and keeping it square. Since the face already stays square, arm lock is a bit redundant. We definitely have a few devout arm lock guys that love theirs. If you order one, request lead tape for swing weighting. Looks uglier but feels better than shaft weighting.

I have had my Directed Force 2.1 for about 6 weeks and was fortunate enough to be able to "upgrade" (switchover) to the Stability Tour Shafted version (thanks Leigh @ Woodlands in Australia!).

First round with it yesterday, birdied the first 2 holes with one-putts and finished the round with another birdie and ZERO three-putts.

Very very pleased with performance!!!!

Stability shaft just seems to make the stroke "smoother" and is the perfect complement to the Directed Force technology.

We haven't done any specific scientific testing. The BGT shaft does what it says it does. It is basically a super stiff shaft which in theory should be more consistent especially from long range. The reason we don;t typically make putters with super stiff shafts is because they feel crappy but what BGT has done is make a super stiff shaft that feels pretty good. Especially the new tour IMO. If you want to upgrade you should have us do it for sure as it will need to be rebalanced. We actually don't have a product for that just yet on the new site but stability upgrade should be available on the site within a couple weeks.

TTA6RVV7EJL8.jpgI think the icons look cool. I have the grooves ( only on the middle of the face ) and probably would have gone with the icons, if it were an option then. I also would have gone one dot on top. But as well as I’ve been putting with mine, no complaints.

I found a grip that weighed the same as the OG that mine was originally built with that I really like. I think it was a touch head heavy with the 88g grip I had on it. Awesome just got a little better.

This by far the best putter I've played in 25 years of golfing.

I didn't see much of a performance difference. You can pretty much hit the ball anywhere on the 2.1 and get away with it. If you have a consistent stroke and find the center most of the time, you'll likely enjoy the B.2 a bit more. Nicer feel, sound and looks. The 2.1 is hard to beat with alignment but the shape of the B.2 makes it pretty simple to align as well.

The 2.1 has a little more of a leaning curve. You'll need to make a few easy adjustments. You wouldn't need to change much with the B.2.

If you're particular about your grip, the 2.1 can be more of a challenge.

The big thing, and what makes these entirely different animals is, both are balanced and the stroke feels the same.

Hey Chris,

I had to move the ball up to where the shaft was was center. So the ball was about 2-3” further forward than I’m used to.

I needed to use a longer stroke than I’m used to. I like a short back stroke and sort of power thru the ball.

With both I needed to take a little break out.
