I played three and a half more rounds with the B.2 in the past week. I used my Scotty t22 np2 on the front during one of those rounds. I putted pretty well with it and it looks great. But honestly, I couldn't wait to get the B.2 in there on the back 9. I had 13 birds my last two rounds with the B.2. A few were tap ins on par 5's but a lot of them were mid range putts. That has been the only difference for me, performance wise, between the 2.1 and B.2. The B.2 is the best feeling/sounding putter I've played.

Going back and forth between putters I've always done well with and the LAB's....the LAB's are just more user friendly, once you train yourself how to let it work for you. As of today, all of my other putters are gone.

Did you find speed control is better with 2.1 or B.2? Are they similar in total weight? (sorry if this has been covered)

The ball seems to come off the B.2 with a little more juice. Not jumpy but better for my stroke. I’m able to keep it more compact with the B.2. I think this is why I’ve been better with mid range putts. But speed control with both is the highlight so far.

I don’t know the weights of either. Maybe Sam can help. But to me they feel about the same. It’s odd because the B.2 looks really small in person and looks like it would be light. My guess is they’re heavier than most but swing like they’re lighter with the balancing.

To what extent can these putters be retrofit?

They can be re-shafted and re-weighted, along with a new grip for $100 (plus shipping). Lie Angle can be changed up to one degree (either up or down) if sent back to them in Reno. Alignment marks can also be changed (depending on what mark you are moving to, the shaft may have to be removed). Send them an email, and they will give you a quote.

OK, so...the grips. I see both kinds on the website. Is one of those pretty thick to take the hands out of the stroke?

The OG is our smallest offering though it is still a bit bigger than a conventional pistol grip. The 2.M is comparable to a super stroke 2.0. In a week, we will have the 1.L which is our largest offering and is the same oval shape as the OG. On paper, yes, a larger grip will reduce activity in the hands.

I'd love to hear how people are getting on with the putters, I had an interesting experience when I went to get fit for a Lab putter. On Quintec, my path and face rotation both came down dramatically. I'm going to go and test again, as they didn't have the fitting putter there that day.

The science is real! If you can't find a place with a fitting putter, the remote fitting is extremely accurate.

I can concur that the remote fitting is extremely accurate. I sent my remote fitting in this past Sunday, and Jennifer got back to me with my results, and the results were the same as previous in-person fittings for my Cameron(s). I will be placing my order shortly.

I'm really interested in the putter, but not willing to take a flyer on a $500 club sight unseen. Fortunately LAB has been great in helping me find access to the club... Though I haven't had time to actually follow up!

Completely understand, I have had the chance to try the putter out. Funny story actually, a friend who is a lefty (I'm a righty) had one on the putting green and I picked it up and just messed around with it, and was surprised at how good it felt and how many putts I was dropping (I am a natural lefty, but play righty). So I went and tried another friends right handed version on a few occasions and it felt great, good enough to give it a try. I did the online fitting to see how they spec it out, and the specs were exactly like the ones I received in other fittings, based on that I have faith in the numbers. Waiting with great optimism!

You should at least send in a remote fitting video so you can get your specs, and then you might be able to find one on eBay that matches. That will save you about half the cost of new (from what I've seen there lately).

@labgolf I am located in Hawaii on the island of Oahu, the Fitter Locator only has one fitter at the 4 seasons Hualalai on the Big Island.
Are there any stores or golf clubs on Oahu that might have DF putters for me to try?

Hmm... I might consider this... I'd rather the money go to LAB, even if it takes me a little longer.

Though, if I actually start draining putts, my playing partners will probably all buy one!

L.A.B. sometimes puts putters on eBay themselves (recently had about a half dozen on there - minor imperfections and blemishes in the finish), so you may be able to get the money to them that way. Or you can give them a bit of your money to rework a used putter that doesn't quite meet your spec -- for $100 they can change the lie angle (by a max of one degree up or one degree down), change the length if needed, and re-balance (using the latest tungsten weighting), plus a new grip. This is what I did, while waiting to save up for a new one.

Good to know! I'm relatively tall, so a 36 inch putter would have to pop up... I have some follow up to do with the company and hopefully will have a chance to test drive one soonish.
