I am wondering about alignment aid choices. I'm a left eye dominant RH putter. I always feel like I'm aiming too far left. What do you suggest?

Theoretically, inside aimers will do better without target lines. a dot, arrows, triangles, half ball, etc would be better.

Taking less break makes a ton of sense. I was over reading everything last weekend. I had 5 birdie looks from inside 15 feet which was more than typical for me and i kept leaving it on the high side. My speed control was outstanding, especially on lag putts. That Stability Tour Shaft feels amazing.

Do you think reading less break is because of the putter or because it is winter?

I was seeing less break when our greens were in perfect condition. This took a long time to trust.

 

Forget about the ball and just try placing the shaft dead center of your feet. This should put the ball where you need it.

Does anyone know if the 2.S Press Grip is still available to order on L.A.B. putters? Or has it been discontinued?

Also, what is the Press 2 1.5 grip? On their grips page I see no pictures of a Press 2 1.5. Only the Press 2.M and L grips...

The 2.S is now the Press II 1.5°. Right now its only available for purchase on the B.2 putter. It'll be available for individual purchase next week.

So, how many of you are of the “never going back” to any other putter group and why?

Because Lie angle Balanced putters have made me so aware of torque that anytime I pick up anything else it feels like a snake! Sometimes other putters feel nice and weildy for a moment but then the first mediocre stroke I make exposes how little control I have over the face. I realize I am biased but please know that I was a customer long before I had anything to do with the company. I owned 50+ putters before my first L.A.B. and hadn't stuck with one for more than a round or 2 pre-L.A.B. I have never used another putter since. In the rare instance I have to use rentals, I am more comfortable putting with a wedge...

What is your current gamer? DF 2.1t or B.2? Or an older model that you couldn't take out of your bag yet :)

I end up playing them all. I have a 2.1 that I use the most. I could never really get the BLāD.1 to perform for me. Quite fond of the B.2 but still hasn't made it to my bag for a round yet. The 2.1 I use the most is actually a random raw proto with no grooves that Bill made over a year ago. The last 2 rounds I have actually used the Broomstick version of our B.2. I would have never even thought about switching to a broomstick but I was forced to test them for the last 6 weeks and realized about 3 weeks ago that I was starting EVERYTHING on line. Took a minute to learn how to find touch with it but in the 2 rounds I have used it I had 22 and 27 putts. Seriously considering committing to it.

Hey Craig,

I'll never say never when it comes to golf equipment. The thing that got my attention was comparing results vs. putters I loved. When I got the new Scotty t22, which is the exact type of putter I've done very well with in the past, I figured my testing would come to an end. Looks have always been important to me. I loved everything about it, besides the hc. I putted very well with it. Then sold it. I had a custom Piretti that was so good to me for years. Sold it. Had a Betti that was great when our greens got extremely fast. Sold it. I don't miss any of them. I just didn't see the point of keeping anything that didn't perform as well. I hit more putts the past few months than any other time in my life with all of them, kind of hoping one would give the LAB's a run. But the others began to feel awkward and the results were obvious.

Just won an auction for a 34.5 directed force, couldnt pass one up thats exactly my specs. Im excited to give it a try, obviously ive heard good things, and i actually kind of like the look.

Im only confused on one small aspect, is the press grip required? its coming with a golf pride snsr. Obviously I can put on whatever, my usual is a superstroke flatso 1.0.

Its strongly recommended unless you have a very pronounced forward press built in to your stroke. It can be awkward at first but just give it some time. Enjoy!

So I don’t know if I’m quite at the “I’m never gaming anything else ever again” phase, but this putter is growing on me each round I play. I’ve finally started trusting my reads again and not to belabor the point, but the speed control with the stability tour shaft is getting better each round as well.

 

it feels amazing and finished birdie-birdie today to save my round and some $, so I’m a in a good mood.

Thanks for the reply, I definitely forward press, I wonder if its enough. We will see, i'll give it a test and then order a press grip if I need it.

If you like the flatso 1.0, you'll probably do well with the Press 2.0. One of the really nice things about the press grips on the 2.1 is you just put the club down naturally and it takes care of the rest.

My 2.1 is probably the best golf related purchase I have made in years. So much confidence rolling the ball with this and it's simplified putting for me. Really hope this isn't a honey moon because this putter is great for making putts. Finally something I don't feel like I fell victim to marketing or hype. Go get fit and try one.

I was bidding on that one with the snsr grip too. Glad it was exactly your spec, I was going to have to send it in and have it re-set to my length. Ended up being a good price. I think you'd be much better served with one of the Press grips, REALLy like my Press 2.M on my 2.1 at this point.

Here's hopin! He loves the tech and is really nice to us with all of his feedback. He's just rolling it so well with his scotty that I would doubt the B.2 will see action until his gets cold. Fingers crossed though!
