The lines on the Nickel are a dark charcoal.  They use a fiber laser to etch the markings.

sort of a very dark grey/black but we don't offer nickel anymore unfortunately.

Is there a problem if you change the Press grip to a standard grip?

What is the turnaround on remote fitting requests? I am ready to buy but I am hoping my specs match what the local store has in stock. Also, I did not receive a 10% off coupon code via email from the website. I would like to have that if I do in fact have to order online.

Awesome Breast Cancer limited edition!! I can’t wait to try out that Accra shaft too (awesome that you included the upgrade for FREE).  I know I sound like a rep ( I swear I’m not) but $100 going to cancer research with each putter purchase is an admirable thing.   If you were on the fence, this is the time!  F*%$ cancer.

I ordered on 8/24 and just received my

putter this past Tuesday (9/28).

I had my specs about 2 days after my remote fitting submission.

I have because was struggling with press grip. At moment seems to be awesome. Fitted superstroke wrist lock Was a bit of a bugger getting press grip off without damaging it ( just incase I wanted to refit) but did get it off in perfect condition , lots of tape underneath. Will see if honeymoon period wears off.

Way too many quality issues. The nickel shows EVERY single tiny forging flaw. Plus they don't do so well with fertilizer.

Getting a proper swing weight is a challenge with the DF. Thats why we use the lead tape.

Wasn't lead tape , just normal grip tape to build up shaft to grip size.

Thanks for the "heads up" about the fertilizer!  I wipe mine off before it goes back in the headcover on EVERY HOLE.  The only time the head sees the light of day, is when it's in use doing what it was designed for - making the ball rattle in the bottom of the hole in the fewest strokes possible.

I have the same question. Taking a trip next week and I am debating whether or not to take my DF with me. Breaks my heart to not have it playing 5 rounds in 3 days but I am more worried about my putter getting ruined in transit than any other club quite frankly.

I have never had an issue. I just pack the bag smartly so that the putter is protected by other clubs, sort of in the middle of the bag. Also I use one of those stiff arm things.

Has anyone started with a stock shaft and then upgraded to a stability shaft? What differences did you notice?

I played this weekend with a gent who had a new B.2 Blad and he was rolling the ball so well. He said, to paraphrase,  "I went for a fitting at Club Champion and they handed me this and I handed it back and said no way, too ugly. The fitter said no, you're going to try this one. After trying a bunch of putters I realized I was hitting every single putt with this one solid and had the best results with it." If I hadn't rolled my own Edel so well at the same time, I'd have gone straight for a fitting of my own!  Maybe someday in the future!

I took mine to the practice green yesterday... now I can't wait to try it out on course once my hand heals enough to play again.

 

The biggest take-away was how easy both speed control and alignment were. It's almost automatic compared to other putters I've been trying lately which require a fair bit more care. It also feels great, and the blue with white shaft looks really good in sunlight.

 

The coolest thing? Seeing the balance in action was really, really cool. As in, it doesn't wobble during the stroke (again, unlike other putters I've been using). Which makes sense given the balance but I didn't think it would be so noticeable. Super impressive.

I have not been a fan of the other two, but this one intrigues me. Will there be a full-blown release at a lower price later on?

We will be doing a full production release in January. Working on getting the cost down. If we do, it won't be significant for custom stuff. We are hoping to get the stock price around $450 and the custom stuff starting around $550 but not sure yet.
