@labgolf - can LAB rebalance an already built putter (T7 version) and lower the swingweight? my putter is 31" and the total static weight seems to be a bit too heavy for me (610 grams total weight).

Its possible. We'd need to get it here before we know. email [email protected] and he can work with you to figure it out

Hey guys! Just picked up a B2 with a press 1.5 grip on it. Any feedback to how the B2 might play differently with a standard pistol style grip? Will it mess with the loft or would i just have to initiate a forward press in my stroke to deliver the intended loft? Thanks!

Plays great with a straight grip. That's what I use on my B2.

Found out today that my armlock DF 2.1 has been shipped and should be here next week!  Excited to give armlock a try and see if it improves my putting in the 4'-10' range.

Cannot say about B2 but DF2.1 has been a game changer for me . Changed to superstroke wrist lock as could not get used to forward press grip . So much so as I have posted before that I kept going back to original mallet putter. Thought I would try different grip to see if worked better.  I did not extend shaft or anything , just fitted wrist lock and it is now that good , I have sold or selling all my other putters. For me now I have to say is best putter I have ever owned.

Played twice had the best putting round of my life which is bookended by two of the worst. Only difference was that the two bad rounds were on shaggy greens. I felt like I couldn’t get the ball to the hole or it was 10+ feet by. Any tips?

This is all the rounds I play. I’m always playing on shaggy, Bermuda greens and my speed control is terrible no matter what putter I have in the bag. I’ve just resigned myself to the fact I will always be a terrible putter.

It can be tough to get used to but when the greens are slow, you need to swing the putter longer, not harder. Use gravity to control speed, not acceleration

I’m very curious about how this is working out for you. I’ve tried the full arm locks, but this looks very interesting. Did you just extend the putter you were fit for? Have you seen any negative effect on the lie angle or the balance?

Shout out to Liam for being awesome to work with. I ordered a custom armlock DF2.1 with a white LAGP shaft and a Midlock grip. As soon as the individual parts arrived it was built within 1 day and it's shipping to me Monday. Amazing customer support and service.

I'll post a few pics when I get it. I'm hoping this putter is what helps me make more of those 8-10ft par putts that I see at least 6-10 times a round. I almost never make them with my Scotty, which feels and looks amazing, but I can easily tell when I've hit one off the toe or maybe a little high in the face and see it go offline because of it.

First two rounds this weekend with the new lab armlock and I like it enough that I plan on keeping it on the bag for a continued trial period lol.  I really like the way the putter sets up.  I am basically setting up to the putter once the bottom is positioned flat against the green vs me holding the putter and setting up to the ball.  Overall very confident with the alignment of the big head adn it feels very stable on the stroke.

I got in about 2 - 1 hour sessions of practice with it before my two rounds, basically working on set up and alignment.  It alsmost seems that with the style of the DF2.1 in an armlock, you can't really alter the ball position a whole lot without having the putter adjusted, ie how the putter is made off of the fitting kind of locks you in to the ball position.

Had 31 and 30 putts, with only one 3 putt and it was on a downhill 30+ footter that ran long and I lipped out the come back putt.  I have been playing with it looking at the hole when I make the stroke, but altered that slightly and started looking at the ball on 4' and under putts.  I'll continue to practice doing it both ways and see how it goes but thus far, looking at the hole has been letting me get the ball past the hole.  My usuall stroke is dying the ball in the hole and I generally leave a lot of putts short so this is a nice change.  Becasue I do tend to hit it firmer looking at the hole, I went back to looking at the ball on short putts as I missed a couple of short ones as they lipped out with too much pace.

This year I have been averaging 32.4 putts a rounds, so I'll be interested to see if I can reduce that by one or two strokes.

Just wondering if that was your normal miss with your old putter. Mine was a push not a pull and found that the Lab putter accentuates the problem more. I found it not to be very forgiving off none centred strikes . More so then any other mallet putter I have owned.

With the pushing, I changed my grip to take any hands out of it , so much so it did feel uncomfortable at first. Which did help some . You could try top hand more rotated to under grip and bottom  hand to more on top. I went opposite to that to stop the push ( hope that makes sense.

I still putt with the LAB mainly because I want it to work ( been playing it for about a year now )but lately went back to a old mallet when practicing only and was holing more putts.

Would be interesting to see how many have stuck with it or gone back to a  normal putter and if you practiced as much with a normal  like we do with the LAB would it be better.

Just my opinion only

My DF putter seems to be at least as forgiving, if not more so, than any other mallet I've tried.

As for pushing it goes, there's a very interesting thread here on WRX about a member and his testing and results.

I believe, iirc, that deeper putters generally cause a push.

Really curious how the new mezzo Proto stacks up in terms of forgiveness vs the DF2.1 and B.2. I would imagine it sits in the middle but can anyone confirm?

I am curious too. If it is forgiving like the 2.1 but looks more contemporary that’s a win-win. Although if I could I’d game either.

Another question. I had a DF.with the stock shaft and was putting well with it. So like a typical golfwrx’er I decided to upgrade to a stability shaft. I’m having a hard time with it, speed particularly, and was wondering about the experience of others doing the same thing. I’m guessing it’s just a transition period.

Well for the first time ever, this thread faded off the 1st page. I am happy about it only because its been replaced with a thread about our new stuff but I wanted to take a minute to thank all of you that tested and have since participated in this conversation the last few years. As a company, this thread motivated, educated and inspired us. You helped us believe in what we are doing as a company, refine our customer experience and ultimately helped us and others enjoy the game a bit more. So from the bottom of our company heart, thank you so much for your trust in our big ugly putter and for taking the time to help us and others see the beauty in lie angle balanced putters!!

Never putted better than with my DF 2.1. GAME CHANGER.
