I also ordered the V3. Looks like i can offload the V2. Where did they state the 10 hour battery life, that was the one thing i wanted fixed, but couldn't find it in the listing anywhere.

Sir, you're brilliant... Just saved me the trouble of cutting off the screw and gluing the tab to the top. Will be doing this since I've switched away from pistol grips to a superstroke gt.

It's ma'am and thank you. It works pretty well. You just have to be careful when you pull your putter out of the bag not to scrape the sensor off.

I'm going to try and use the velcro solution with out cutting the screw post off. I don't use the counter core weight in my ss grip so I'm going to cut a hole through both velcro tabs so I can leave the post in the P tab case I want to easily screw it into another non ss grip later or in the more likely case, sell my v2 and get the v3.

The old is 59mm length x 39mm width x 14.4mm thick vs new which is 39mm x 34mm x 10mm

When I placed the order I believe it said late May it would ship. Not sure if that's when it will go on sale otherwise as well though.

My other gripe with the v2 is not being able to see your score during the round. Sucks to have to sync to get an idea of your total (plus or minus any edits of course).

Is there anything different about the sensors on V3 based on the info they released?

No. Per the “secret” website there is no difference and the sensors for each version (at least between V2 and V3) are interchangeable.

That's a great idea, putting the sensor alongside the weight if there's enough meat in the grip beside the it. I wanted to do that but there wasn't enough room on the Superstroke Slim 3.0 so I glued it to the weight with shoe goo and pried it off when I took it off. I might try the velcro idea for the new one as long as the velcro adheres well to the weight.

Per the secret website, the V3 is very similar in size to an Apple Watch.

Have any of you tried both Shot Scope V2 and Arccos 360? I've had a lot of issues with Arccos this last year, but the V2 watch is too big for my dainty wrists. If the accuracy of shot tracking is as good or better on Shot Scope, this V3 might just be the best option for a stat junkie like myself. Thanks for any insights.

I had looked at Arccos and Game Golf but ended up getting a V2. I had a few issues, as some others did and gave it to one of my kids. I purchased the V3 so hopefully it will turn out really good, although 3 months wait does seem a long way off. Meanwhile, the old Skycaddie is on duty.

So is the only difference the watch? Does it still track the same stats?

I'd love to know what I shot on each hole and the round so far. I use The Grint in conjunction with the V2 for this purpose but just wondering.

I might be the only person that does not mind the v2 watch at all. I like the bigger watches.

I received an email from ShotScope on March 5th with the following info:

"Thank you for ordering a Shot Scope V3.

Good news, your V3 is on track to meet the end of May shipping date."

Looks like they are still on track for early orders. Possible later orders may be delayed.

I got an email too, saying the same thing and a little info on the V3. Hopefully the shipment was already on route and we don't have delays due to the problems with the virus. No doubt it's made in China, most things are these days, to keep costs down.

V3 first of June. $179 with 10+ hour battery and colors. Color screen and smaller than the V2.

Anyone have information about whether the software has any new features like displaying in-round scoring?

Seems like too basic of a feature to be absent, especially in a new version. It seems like they listened to a lot of feedback about the design of the watch and life of the battery, but haven't heard much about software changes or updates.

People having issues attaching the putter sensor might like to investigate setting the V2 to "manual" mode for the putter.

I have done that because for me it has been more accurate in recording putts. I was always getting false putts due to practice putts etc. while waiting for partners to putt. Since I have gone to manual mode - no issues. It is very easy just to hit the button to record the putt as part of my pre-putt routine. Then just mark the pin location after everyone has finished putting before leaving the green.

It is easier, more accurate and eliminates the false putts for me.
