Bison is ok. The best of the wild game is Elk or Moose. Delicious. Bear is kinda greasy.

bowilbury! Just kidding, interesting combo. I just can't stand pesto. It's like one of 3 things on the planet I don't like to eat.

 

I don't know what I'd get, so many options. Maybe, some sushi. Real sushi, not califirnia rolls. Be interesting to see who on tour actaully like it.

 

I'd go with my typical order.....

 

First, lot's of cold sake, then...

 

 

1 salmon skin roll for some crunchiness

3 pieces of tuna sushi

1 piece of eel sushi

1 piece of blue fin toro sashimi. That's the best, from the belly, very marbled, like the "bacon" of sushi

1 salmon skin roll

1 piece of flying fish roe sushi, they are like poprocks!.....

Me too. Once. When that became a thing. My wife let her cousin drag us to one. Two bites In I notice the cousins date double dipping his smoked sausage , my wife and I made eye contact and we both knew “ live through this and we will eat on the way home “. So we grinned and bared it until it was over. We where asked back to that place twice. And each time one of us was at deaths door with a cold. Lol. Lazy excuse for cooking.

Taiwan does fondue right. Loved the Chinese hot pot. It is a seasoned water and you have tons of Veggies, meat, etc you put in and pluck out as it gets cooked.

I've given the vegan diet some very serious tries, but I always felt I was one wrong sneeze away from filling my pants. Been on the carnivore diet for a while and feel great (well...better).

I remember after Vijay's dinner, a couple of the members saying "well, after last night, we're all pulling for Vijay to repeat." In addition to Vijay's menu, Scott's, Schwarzel's, Cabrera's, Weir's, and Crenshaw's are the most appetizing to me. Next time Tiger wins, it'll probably be fish sticks and french fries.

I think you are lost. Lol, kidding sort of, this is definitely a meat based community ; )

 

For me, I generally eat Mediterranean diet. Like 90% of the time. Yogurt, fruit, fish/chicken, nuts, lot of veg (I'm on a big collard green kick), potatoes.

 

The other 10% is spaghetti and meatballs, pizza, sausage and peppers, burgers, fried chicken, steaks, cookies, chocolate, bacon egg and cheeses.

 

It's perfect! Like, I'll do "leg day" today, squats and deadlifts, and I'll love it because I'm gonna have stuffed shells and meatball for dinner and for breakfast tomorrow, this awesome wrap with eggs, chees, turkey bacon and a big hash brown in it. And hot sauce! But otherwise, lotta fish and fruits and veg. I like it all, no need to discriminate ; )

WRXers are most certainly on the meat train. Predominately male, middle class and up, expendable income. You sound a lot more active than most people though. The first step in helping any regular Joe, including the people here, is getting rid of the sugar and processed foods. That's going to do wonders for just about anyone. Then comes the debate about if plants are a better source of protein than meat. A lot of the meats people buy now are chalked full of hormones and chemicals anyway. I think it's clear that meat is a better source of complex proteins, but not all protein from meat is equal, I think people just lump it all into one category.

I’d choose the diabetic menu. It’s where you watch the chefs prepare the food you want to eat, while you eat something that’s considerably worse. I think the Masters champs would love that.

You'd be surprised. I've seen some pretty sophisticated diet talk out here. Master's dinner talk is going to be all red meat, bbq. I'd agree with you, on the whole. I think the key, whether you're a vegan or omnivoire, is portion control and excercise to maintaing a healthy weight and cardio/muscular fitness.

 

If you do that, I don't see the abosolute need to really totally eliminate anythign including sugar/junk food. It's like my wife's grand father. Guy lived to 91. Would have lived to 110 if not for the doctors but I won't get into that. And even at 91, he was driving a Caddilac, was probably the same weight he was in his 20s, and had a grip that would crush your hand. He ate a Twinkie every day and loved jelly beans ; ) I definitely agree on processed food. Theres so many options for fresh food now. Even I can make a meal of salmon, baked potato, and kale very easily.
