Golf Net

Same here. I'm thinking the parmark setup with a little more PVC and another $20 net and it would be shank proof.

So I went through this process about a month ago. This is what I settled on and absolutely love it. Bear in mind this is for a more permanent outdoor option, but it's cheap and extremely durable. If you want something more mobile or indoors, I would look at Ruuket

Purchased this net from ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Best-Quality-Golf-Practice-Net-10-x-14-Impact-Panel/110919422854?hash=item19d3501386:g:bRkAAOSwx2dYI2dnbought two 8' T-posts for $5.75 each - https://www.menards.com/main/building-materials/fencing/utility-fencing/studded-t-post/1712892/p-1548315005287.htmbought three 1.5" PVC pipes in 10ft lengths, one 5ft length and two 1.5" PVC elbow jointsused ball bungees to attach the net - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KP4RBMP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1For the Mat, I went with the Rawhide 5x5 in A gradePound the two T-posts into the ground so that the "wings" are just buried. Slide two of the 10' PVC pipes right onto the T-posts for the side of the net, add the top with the elbow joints and remaining PVC (will need to make one quick cut since the net is 14' wide and you'll have 15' of PVC). Hang the net with the ball bungees and, wallah, done. I spent about 10 minutes at the hardware store, and took me about 30 minutes to set all this up. If you want to move it to another location, just dig up the T-posts, remove the PVC and you're good.

I bet I could sky one into that fluorescent light or take out that thing that looks like a sprinkler head. But I'm particularly talented.

A few folks have asked me about that... one of those old fashion infomercial's you'd see after watching some late night golf or football games and this would pop on with Kostis and McCord and think this is just what I need!!! But I have to say it really does work rather well, it's about 10-12 years old. You can angle it a number of ways to work on any faults or fixes, I have EE and try to make sure I'm keeping my tush line on it back and thru. Not sure it's still readily available these days on Amazon, you might catch one from time to time on Ebay. But I have to say it has helped me at times....

One of the original members here, HiFade developed that item. I still have it in my garage.

Glad you got yours. There’s hope. :)

My tracking said last Friday. Didn’t show. Tracking now says pending. No communication from them. But if/when I do get new tracking or any emails from them, I won’t believe it. Until it actually shows up.

  • 3 weeks later...

I ordered a 10x10 high impact #18 net from just for nets. Had it for about a week and so far the net seems to be high quality and should last. I'm sure keeping in the garage vs outside would have some affect on the durability. Some pics of the framing I built out of PVC and the net itself. Built a little extension on the right side in case of any hosel rockets.

  • 3 weeks later...

Following on from my earlier comment about the durability of the Rukket Sports Haak Net, here's what happened today.

This is after less than a month of use on a brand new net. I've used it for about an hour a day, 3-4 days per week, hitting no more than a 7 iron (mainly pitches in fact). This shot actually tore straight through the net and into a garden behind. Luckily it didn't hit anyone. It's also worth noting this was a replacement net, because...the same thing happened to the first one.

The netting is clearly not up to the task and extremely poor quality. It's not as if I'm getting Kyle Berkshire ball speeds. Don't waste your money on one of these like I did!

I'll reiterate my earlier post. I was surprised how concentrated the strikes were on the net. The net I used lasted for a while, but eventually got worn and made a hole. Seems like all the shots after would find the hole. I hung a strip of tarp fabric a couple layers thick from the top of the structure. A normal strike would hit the strip and absorb the energy of the shot. The net would catch any strays. Of course the tarp would shred and need replacement but I had plenty of inexpensive tarp fabric.

I have a different comment on a net and I know it’s my fault.I never used to shank the ball but after a couple weeks of using a net,and going to the range the shanks appeared four out of five shots.

i can’t figure out what I am doing differently swingIng into the net as it does not make any sense to me.I have a rukket net and use half distance balls which does not put much strain on the net.
