Looking to save a few bucks going with AV Raw white stock in a TSi3 driver and 3 wood set, has anybody been able to compare the 75 X vs the TX version? Was planning on just tipping the X a little more instead of shelling out 300 plus for the TX

You can order the tx version with no upcharge from pgatoursuperstore.com.  ive ordered mine but it has not come in yet.

Note TX is only available for 3 wood and not driver from pgatoursuperstore.com.

I really like the current Tensei white and have i in tsi2 in 65X.  I am also interested in the TX, but based on the spec sheet it looks like an entirely new profile.  Not necessarily stiffer...Torque is 4.0 vs. 3.4 in X and it is lighter than the X as well.  Butt diameter is thicker too...wondering if the feeling is even smoother than the X...

It's lighter only on the 65.  I've got mine coming in Saturday in 75TX in TSi2 3 wood.  It's one gram heavier and slightly lower torque, but butt diameter is bigger.

Very excited to try it out.  I'll update once I hit it on Sunday.

Anybody know the ID of the Raw white 65 stiff on the butt end?  I think I want to extend mine a touch but want the correct extension.

I do not but just post the question to golfworks site.  They usually answer within the day.

Thank you!  I was literally just there looking for info and they said the AD IZ (which is also .598 OD) uses the green extension so I may order that one plus another slightly larger just in case.  Thank you!

Good deal.  Curious how much are you extending it and what will be the final playing length?

I'm playing a 45 now, and will be trying a 46.75 soon.

I know this will sound ridiculous, but I want to extend it to 45" from 44.75".  I have tried gripping down a touch but it just doesn't feel right to me so I may add 3/8 to 1/2" even.  It's just purely a feel thing.

They sent me the wrong shaft after waiting a month!!!

Hoping pgatoursuperstore.com can get Titleist to overnight a TX. So disappointed in quality control.

Oh man.... that is a total bummer....  Hope they straighten it out immediately.   Waiting sucks and you'd hope after all this time, they'd just get it right.  Keep us in the loop!

I decided to try the x stiff that was supposedly tipped extra half inch.  I will say I absolutely loved it.  Very smooth but extremely stable.  I felt like I couldn't miss one off the tee.  I have the option of replacing it with tx when it comes in in March.  Right now though very happy with 75 X.

That combo of tsi2 and av raw blue is amazing.

I would highly recommend av raw blue in 3 wood and tsi2 as well.  For driver I have a blue ventus Velocore and that is probably a step above, but didn't feel like I needed it in 3 wood.

I'll be posting qcquad numbers next week.

I played the IZ in my driver at -1* in loft and the Raw Orange at standard loft.  If you are looking to take the launch and spin down from the IZ the Orange is worth a shot.  If you don't want to lower your spin I would stick with the IZ over the Orange.  I've played a few Mitsi White profiles before, but I tend to favor a stiffer handle profile than the white line offers.  The Raw Orange loads differently than the normal white profile in my hands.

I have been recently launching and spinning my IZ way too much, to the point of turned down my 410 to 9*. It seems like the Raw Orange is the way to go for me.

Side note: this is one of the best comprehensive reviews for a shaft I've seen on GolfWRX. Great job Burns!

Glad you enjoyed my review.  The 65TX Raw Orange definitely sounds like a shaft you should give a hit.

Hey @Nick_E thanks for your thoughts! I am about to go get fitted this weeks and curious what your take was on the AV Raw White TX? Smoother and straight? I got a Velocore blue this weekend at a buddies simulator and it felt stable, but I think light given it was 65 grams. Hoping TSi2/3 wins out during the fitting 🙂

I'm 5 rounds into using the AV Raw Orange 65S shaft in a PING G425 Max head (plays 44.75") that I was fit for. On 2 very familiar courses, I can honestly say I have hit career long drives on numerous holes with this setup. Can't really say whether it's the shaft or the head or the combo, but I've been in places that I'd never expect over the last couple weeks. I'm 44 years old and have never hit the ball this far in my 25 years of playing golf.

I just got the TSi3 fairway wood with the AV White Raw 75x.  Never hit this shaft before so not sure what to expect.  I also have a Ventus Velocore 8x that I just had my TM tip taken off and a Titleist one put on to use with this if the AV isn't a good fit.  Anyone hit either of these combos?

Hello - What was the IZ spinning at and where are you now?  Did you go with the Orange Raw?  Stay safe

So I didn't get any trackman/GC Quad data on my driver, but it was heavily failing my eye test. So I looked at my swing first, and realized that I was coming way too far from the inside and leaving the face open way too much. Making that fix really cut down the spin a ton, but my drives were still launching really high. I demoed a bunch of shafts from Shaft Shack, and actually fell in love with the Ventus Black 6s. Super Stable and brought my launch down. To counter the change in launch, I set my loft to neutral 10.5 and it has been amazing. Played 9 the past weekend and hit every fairway I used my driver on.

I have tried all 3. My TSi3 driver came with a Blue 65S, My TSi2 16.5 with a White 75S, and my G425 20.5 with an Orange 75S. They all feel great, although I like the feel of the Blue best followed closely by Orange. I play all of my clubs at D4+ so had to get creative to get the swingweight up on the G425. But they all feel very smooth and stable. I've been in an AD IZ in my driver and 4 wood since about 2015 but thought long and hard about putting in the Blue 65S over it. And ordered the 3 wood with the Blue 75S but it wouldn't have shipped until around May-June so I just had the White put in instead. They're all really good though.

I've been hitting Tensei shafts for the last week or so, trying to commit to the profile after not liking them. I've been looking for a 'stiff and linear' blue profile for a while now and have found it in the Tensei line after getting back into it.

I have now hit the Tensei Raw Blue untipped, AV Blue tipped 1/2", and the CK Pro Blue untipped. The CK Pro Blue is the winner with the AV Blue tipped 1/2" coming in second. I need to try the Raw Blue tipped 1/2" but I figure itll be much the same as the AV.

Has anyone tried a Raw Blue tipped 1" and can compare it to the boron tipped CK Pro?

65tx 2.0 that comes stock in titleist is very good.  I play the 65tx in tsi3 driver and 75tx tipped .5 in tsi3 wood.  I was playing Ventus blue prior and the tensei just fits me better. Brought my flight and spin down in the window i need to be in.

I was fit by PXG into the Pro White fit for a second time and did enjoy the stability of it. If the AV White is even smoother than it may be worth a try. Coming from an AD IZ which is much different, but this is the second time a fitter said the Pro White was the one for me.

I really enjoy the Blue 65TX - when I make sure that I swing deliberately and really work on my wrist hinge on the downswing, the ball explodes off the face and I've had more distance and perfect flight. It doesn't spin too much at all paired with a TSi3, and is probably low 2000s - similar to my X-Torsion Copper 60TX and DI6 (which could be a hair more), but I'm also a +3 AOA and not inherently spinny with a driver. I just have to make sure I swing the way I need to. The DI6 X is definitely more approachable, but I love the feel of the AV Raw - I hope that it can work. With speed work I'm working on, I think it'll work out just fine.

I'm still using it currently. My review is on page 1. My body and my back are currently healthier than they were last year, so my speed is up, and I'm starting to overpower the AV White TX a little bit. I just got a Ventus Black 6X and I'll report back with the results
